    You might be right, but what I think what happened is that the game was doing good enough that they were confident in bringing a big expansion ( I am talking about the jungle thingy, forgot its name), but the expansion didn't do nearly as good as expected, the step they took was simply too big to go back on, the developers kept on adding stuff, trying to make it work, but in the end it was just like beating a dead horse. I've seen plenty of people quiting after the lvl 50 expansion, not the 55 one as u mentioned, that's when the game went down.
