The difference between selling & melting. Coins or Glyphs?

    I'm a newbie enjoying the game for a cupla days now with two (2) characters, and for the life of me I can't figure out the pros & cons of selling inventory items at the blacksmith for coins and melting items for glyphs of power. Which should be accumulated more (coins or glyphs) for the progression of the character?

    Both are important and can get you different things in the game. Coin for combining gems into better ones, traveling, buying items from vendors and crafting. Glyphs for upgrading armor and weapons to higher levels. One thing of note, glyphs are forever, you will always have them and they continue to build over your DSO career. Gold, well... not so much.
