This is how mentor bonus works

OK, while some people are playing regularly some are getting mentor bonus at highest possible ranks.
Marshals and flag bearers are getting mentor bonus.
I wonder if this guy is having other character with grand master boss of universe rank so he is getting mentor bonus at his rank.

 

The flag bear might have another char with same ranking but only few honor point higher. He might be playing his main char and second side by side to get mentor bonus on both char but it is very time consuming.

 

With full unique gear and predator?

 

Wow seems very unfair to anybody to vs somebody that high rank with mentor.

How should his dedication to the game become unfair! Don't you realized how time consuming it is to be a flag bear in two accounts. If he has used his time on first char only probably he could have been grand master by now.

You can be of his rank too if you play with dedication just like him. It's fair to be a flag bearer !!!

What if i show you screens of my characters at same account at which higher level character have mentor bonus?

I don't see it as unfair to fight someone w/ Mentor Bonus. It doesn't make you any stronger, just gives you more badges. So now you're thinking "If they get more badges, then they get higher level faster, so they do get stronger than those who don't have mentor" Yes, eventually, but they aren't stronger now... so you should be able to compete with them. And if you are unable, it's not because of mentor bonus, it's because of money. Mentor Bonus or not, they'd still have that advantage.

 

Or perhaps they beat you because they learned after several characters how to play in pvp and the mentor bonus is just that... a bonus. Not all winners are big money spenders. Some actually win on Skill!

Too bad the ELO system doesn't take into account the money that the level 45 Ardent Centurion mage in the red team has sunk into the game. As you can see by the match statistics (which don't really matter, except in this particular match they do) that mage is whooping 4/5 of the players in the blue team, even though they are higher rank than him/her.

This means that the blue team has more experience(including wins) in PvP and the ELO system will assume they are more likely to win. But since player's stats are not used in the ELO system, it has no way to know that the red team actually has the advantage. Happens all the time.
