I have a lvl 30 dwarf doing quests in RCC, so what exactly is that npc's purpose? In fact what do any of them do? The one in Grimmagstone gave a quest, but I seriously do not recollect having to get anything from the rest of them in any urban areas. Or are they for future quests? Wait, that won't happen, what was I thinking?...oi :)
Nvrmnd, he gives one whole quest, talk to Aldred lol, okay answered.

    A Bit of Ancient History

OK, maybe not ancient but way back in open beta RCC was the endgame urban area. One of the main functions of the class NPC's back then was to turn on/off open PvP (for the servers other than Balor, of course.)

RCC is still a major, full service, urban area so I guess the dev's decided to continue the trend by adding a SM class NPC. RCC is quite the place these days compared to back then. Looks pretty good. Actors have filled up the place and they finally even put a door in that stone wall heading out to Burning Coast.

Lots of quests have been added. There really is not much need to add any more quests in RCC though since by the time you have done them all your toon should be ready to start picking up quests in The Norselands.

The dev's actually have added quests quite often as the game game has progressed to make leveling to endgame smoother. I'm pretty sure you have noticed the recently added area's in Atlantis. It's kind of funny that you mentioned this because last week I was in RCC with an old part-time level 40 toon of mine. This toon had to grind out level 40 when RCC was endgame. Anyway, I found a quest line that had been added in RCC some time ago after my toon was 40 that I had missed.

Anyway, I was just taking a break from my DQ's and saw this thread so I thought I would add some old-timer ramblings to it

Yes , I can concur with Mikey. After level 30 you had to grind your way through every other level, and as a special treat more advanced guild members or group members used to take lower levels to see Herald. But I would not be surprised if the SM npc is given more quests in the future.
