varholm repeatable quest

Since mod closed topic of other person;

Quest gets cancel soon you join a group or kill the wolf (boss)


Also Varholm wont have any mini bosses if your event is bugged. You know when youre bugged that if you press E, you wont see your progrerss bar. Relogg to get progress bar back. If you go into map when no progress bar, you wont get any bloods.

Great event so far.

wow.....just wow I got exactly 1 emote in this game and I get the same emote 4 times from drop and 2 from chest. Just a great event! Best rewards ever...and the emote is 1 copper lol.

I had a similar issue yesterday where the progress bar was not showing up with one of my toons. However, blood did drop, and I continued to make progress. I was halfway through the bar when it finally showed up. Double check to make sure.

One strange thing I noticed is, the reward chest for killing 500 wolves never showed up in my inventory, even after doing the quest 3 times. Not sure what that is all about.

While i agree with you that the dropping of items you already have can be frustrating, and the insulting price to sell said rewards, this is still over all one of the best events. Casual players can finish it, and there is draken and runes to be earned. It is meant to be played monthly, and the rewards cumulative.

For my play style, the unique drops in the main map are worthless, but the blood mage set pieces have something to offer. Farming the shining silver, while boring and slow, is not hard at all.

 

In addition to points raised above I note that normal dq option of killing map boss is absent this event. Not sure if this is ongoing or only bug for this month

Thank you a lot for your reports.
My colleague has already explained that this month edition has some problems. This is being investigated by QA department.

All those problems were reported by our team and by multiple moderation teams.

There are some tips that may help you:

• Avoid going to Cardhun - in some cases, this is the map that's causing the issue.
• Go to Kingshill and travel to Varholm from there;
• If that's not working, try to switch between characters.

In some cases that is working.
Apparently, in most of cases, even when your progress bar disappears, you are not loosing your progress when progress bar comes back, which is a new situation comparing with past editions. If the progress bar shows up when you are in Varholm, that's not so bad, so you can do the event and get your rewards.

I have noticed this too on every "defend the NPC" scenario I have tested. I am not 100% sure about this but I suspect, when they lowered the HP of some mobs, this was also applied to NPC's. Try defending her on a higher difficulty. It may sound counter-intuitive, but i believe the NPC's have higher HP in higher difficulties. Defending Rubina with my DK on normal mode is nearly impossible because she dies in a few hits. Painful and Excruciating are pretty easy because I am killing the mobs just as fast, but she can handle more abuse.

Keep in mind, this is purely subjective based on a few casual tests I've done.
