I got a legendary wand with an additional 4 % weapon and an additional 125 critical, but it actually was gave much less damage than the wand I had before. Not only did I waste a bunch of Crystals of Truth to identify garbage, but it cost me a stack of Andermant to open the gem spots.
Others have reported similar rip-offs: 1 using cots and ander to id junk. 2. items that don't live up to it's advertised features. 3. premium players having to pay to id legendary items, but not for lesser items.

    How about a refund?

Why would you unlock gem slots on a crappy item? Sounds like you ripped yourself off.
Identifying legendaries is random, there is no guarantee that the item you ID will be better than the one you already have. Sounds like you ripped yourself off again.
Try to do some research before you act or you will make mistakes, and when you do make mistakes try to realize that they were your bad rather than a ripoff.

Too many legend items do have bad stats, get rid of them altogether from the game and add more unique items....
They are pointless to the game when even magic items give better stats....

OOOOO really rofl please do tell Doh.....
They are useless, just another item added so you spend to get cots to id then melt straight away....

Let's try again: the item did not deliver on it's posted features; I did not get an additional 4 % weapon damage. Instead I got 20 % less weapon damage that what it said it would give. The entire exercise was futile, because the item was falsely described.
Using COTs to id was an accepted risk, although most items aren't worth the expense. Opening 3 gem slots with Andermant was a waste, relying on false information in the wand description.
As to research, I use 6 online references to the game, including foreign language sites, as well as spread sheets. Do you?
And, what makes you think anyone would be stupid enough to improve something obviously inferior? Even most noob grade schoolers would be smarter than that!

Some unique items have varying stats (like those from monthly events or weapon from Mortis quest). Maybe this is the source of confusion. I could give you more accurate information if you explained which item it is.

What part of "legendary wand" did you confuse with a unique? lol.
It was a Legendary Myrdosch Mystic Rod.

Bonuses that have enchantments with + % weapon damage affect only the damage on your weapon. It does not account for total damage on your character.

Hopefully this clears up your confusion for the future.
