What did you do to the prem weapon?

Well more recently than not, I sent feedback to DSO about how badly the prem weapon has been nerfed.
Think about it like this.
A player farms 6105 gold a dk player such as myself to get the ultimate weapon.
Then everyone on a facebook group like dso world disses it like its something crappy.
And comparitavely it is not an amazing weapon.
I do not have the space to craft but I do try to get my build up there where other builds are.
I believed the prem hammer is the weapon for me, but all players point out to the 150% increased damage they get from the herald set.
I like the premium weapon it looks good, but it was nerfed so badly, its base stats is the same as those of bearach or herald weapons but nothing amazing except for the, skill reduction and 6% extra speed.
A spellweaver friend switched to the bear weapon due to the more extensive damage lightning strike deals.
Come on guys why didnt you keep 30% increased weapon damage as a unique value across the board?
It would have made the prem weapon thee weapon to get, yes keep the other perks but players will gawk at the amount of damage it would have been able to deal.
Now the prem weapon is just an intermediary till you get to craft something better for something else thats better.
This is really sad because the variety of 2 hand uniques is already so small in the game, aka the big 3, no one is interested in any of the other uniques.
Tiamat only has 10% attack speed and not 15. the dune axe only has 400 more crit, nothing making it worth anything to players who can craft their adornments.
The list can go on forever, I mean do you really want every single player in the game to choose either the herald set or bearach set or for speed damage the blood rune set.
Such a big game so many months of playing only to end up looking like 90% of all the 2 hand setups out there is pretty sad...

These are all base staffs. They arent amazing on their own(unless you got like a T6 maybe)..they have their unique values which are good enough but really they are just a vessel to use for other enchantments that ARE better. Crafted weapons too can be very strong. We arent that limited once one learns to craft. I know you said you dont have much space for crafting but its a big part of the game really.

Also its really more satisfying when you can craft something that turns out stronger than what you had before. Its like getting a present from the workbench. Lol.


Premium weapons are a waste in MY opinion just because you farm for all that gold and you dont get anything very special for it. You might have sped up your skills but if the damage is there in the first place you shouldnt need that too much

 

Well me and 2 friends set out to tier our prem weapons which was a lot of work, except for the ranger since he only paid 1825 for his bow.
However my hammer is t5 now and his bow is t5 too. It is just that it does not feel good to be discriminated for using something that is not q4 or q7 and to make it worse their argument is valid because a dk with a crafted herald weapon can take down a pw boss in 17 seconds. thats one set in the whole game aka q7.
One would have expected bp to take pride in their prem weapon
As you well know the spellweaver went ahead with the bearach weapon instead, however he did take his prem staff to t4 before giving up on relentless solid core farming

 

You would think that they would take pride in it since we help pay for the game and should have a good weapon that can compare but no...just a way to waste our gold. Its sad I know

 

You have no idea...
I was stuck on the blood rune sword with gold values in base but it felt like my damage was going nowhere.
Then I remembered the prem wep upgrade and decided to go for it.
I farmed 6k gold in 28 hours over a period of 2 days like a machine.
I bought the prem weapon only to roll a minimal base of 4 or 8 above and 173% on item and 48% increased damage. I asked around and quite a few people laughed.
It really kind of almost broke me in the game I was miserable as hell and I nearly gave up on the game.
A week later I decided to not give up and buy another premium hammer.
Luckily for me it was close to the end of that leaderboard and after 6 hours of farming got my lb gold and bought another one.
The second one had mid level base levels aka 37 above minimum but still no gold base.
The enchantments was almost the absolute worst, so I had to farm 100 solid cores to soul core it first.
That alone made me take much longer to tier my prem weapon compared to my friends who rolled 186% on item and 49% increased damage.
And now my weapon is t5 and people still tell me to aim for q7

Aim for a Q weapon or craft your own weapon from scratch. Stop buying premium weapons...they arent 'premium' which is why not many use them

Gold is not the ultimate currency in this game, so it shouldn't buy the ultimate weapon.

 

Agreed... time is the ultimate currency. Which is why a crafted legendary crafted into a T6 unique is the best weapon in the game. Crafting a legendary takes tons of time and farming for a weapon/farming for the frags to buy the weapon are both time intensive.

That premium mace has always looked disappointing to me because it has OK stats and cool-down for a skill that I'd only ever use in conjunction with the Herald set, and even then it would be grudgingly. I know you swear by it Gerox, but I don't see why you are so insistent on making that hammer work. If you put the same amount of gold into crafting 2Hs and the same amount of time into farming one of the good 2H weapons, you'd have it already. I mean, there are tons of items in this game that are interesting, but not so many that are interesting enough to get me to spend on them. Maybe if the Seismic Hammer dropped somewhere, I could sort of understand using it, but even that is a stretch.

 

let me show you why, now herald mace is nice but literally everyone has it
So there's no individuality in the game nothing unique or special all the players looks like little herald item puppets
If this thing had 30% increased damage on this item as a unique value it would be the item that gives the most unbuffed damage in the game.
Either way my max damage now is 18009 and once this weapon is t6 it will be more once again
Anyways its about farming and being able to farm on a higher level.
You want to craft faster you gotta play on a level that drops more gold values

Actually being able to do groundbreaker twice as fast is quite handy ask anyone who farms maps with me the opponents are stunned and easily killed, as for the damage well imagine being able to take down hordes with one blow and then being able to do it again in half the time that you would usually.
And they say use the main attack but the main attack only focuses on one opponent, but even if I used that with high crit I would be able to do groundbreaker every 2 seconds and that would still be faster.

What if they increased rageful swing damage by 50% as another unique value and then for all classes ad 50% increased damage on the secondary main attack?
plus the usual perks like the grounbreaker etc.
and never forget the 6% attack speed making it the fastest mace in the west xD

If you were going tier this weapon up, shouldn't you have put 300% idoti (or 225% idoti and 60% id) on it at t0 (for the cheapest pristine crafting cost) and then raised it to t5? Wouldn't that be the cheapest way to end up with a superpowered high tier premium weapon?

 

Well uncrafted the enchantments are already good which allows you to farm on higher levels aka get gold stats easier and then craft.....
