What is the point of a guild....

    Hello DEVS,

    Hoping a developer will respond to my question. What is the point of having Guilds, if the only function of the guild is just a Chat "room"? There are no perks, or special functions other than chatting. I mean, the friends list and general chat does the same thing.

    My normal answer up till this point is that it is a grouping of people who share something in common (Low level, high level, PvP, PvE, Language, etc.) However, according to today's Twitch stream, they are finally starting to make guilds more useful. What I mean is that they said that for the new and upcoming Stellar Gold event, there will be individual winners and a single guild that will win. To me, that says that more active full guilds will likely have an advantage so I will be glad to see a feature in this guild finally focus on guild play.
