Hello so recently, i came back to dso after a 8 month break... ish... And everyone started to one hit me in arena and i do like 0 dmg to them.
So, like every one in drakensang.. they called me a noob ^-^ It really gets to me after a while so I decided to post this..
Currently, I'm using kara set and yackhak set. and the rest is legendaries... is there a better build?

Oh.. and keep in mind that i'm a lvl 50 field marshal ... it's very embarrassing to get one hit in pvp by a centaurian okay. xD

Ever since R155, changes to the knowledge system have allowed for incrediable damages leading to a serious cases of glass cannon builds in PVP. As a RA, you have a little more flexibility than most. You can focus on high damage, high crit, and high crit damage, but then you also need to make sure you don't get hit. This means you need speed or you need to get very good with your dodging. The other option is a more defense based build and you need to take them down over time. In my personal experience, I have more trouble with shield rangers than any other class in 1v1 because they can dodge a lot of my shots and still take the hits while whittling down my HP.

Now, if you want to talk PVE, that is a whole different story.

Best set up depends on what you plan to do with your ranger, here are my suggestions based on my experience.
PVP : old dragan set, good shield, longbow, yachak set (concentration regeneration)
PVE solo : for lvl 1 and lvl 2, you can have a glass cannon build because mobs don't hit that hard and have less HP
PVE solo : for lvl 3, it is not easy with a glass cannon build, i go with the same set up as PVP and it goes very well.
PVE with a tank : glass cannon build, high damage output per sec

glass cannon build = focus on high crits dmg, high crits, high dmg (dark set, mechanical gloves, see ranger showcase in the forum)
