Just wondering why the games does not have a way to inspect someones gear. Played many games with this feature and I feel it is very helpful.

Invasion of privacy. How would you feel if I came to you on the street and undress you to look at the clothe's tags?

That would be slightly funny only if I presented the question in a way that warranted a response like you have haphazardly given... Such as; "Why cant I inspect people " The fact that I did not and my question clearly outlines the intentions makes you a silly willy. :) I understand peoples need to try to be funny in order to get people to like them, really I do.. So in a effort to be friendly, extend a olive branch if you will, I will be your friend. However just a little advice, if you are a inspiring comedian - quit, if you dream of becoming a comedian - stop.

This has been bandied about. However there are many people that do not want their gear inspected. In particular, those who PvP would like to keep some things a surprise. Those who don't care often post on the boards.

If you are curious about someone in particular, go ahead and ask them what they have. If you are curious, in general, on what might be a good build, the various "Show what you have" threads are the way to go.

I get it, I just never understood the the need to be so secretive :) To me for every good build there is just as good of a counter build. If someone inspected me and then worked on a build to specifically beat me and my build I would take it as a complement. With that being said you still can not 100 % guess what skill will be used and when so even if you could inspect gear you sill wouldn't know exactly how to counter them. Lastly I'm a noob so what do I know but it appears to me that PVP in this game is not big enough to warrant such privacy maybe I'm wrong :p

The funny thing is that there are 2-3 "standard" end game builds for each class, so most of the time you can guess what they are wearing, even if they have a costume on, especially when you see their weapon and offhand choice.

So, here are the "top" builds and this little post will describe 90%+ of the setups used by the players at top of the PvP leaderboards:

The standard 2H DK uses an axe with the Black Warlord set and 2 Bloodtooth rings, and a % damage torso. Other items are selected to improve crit, crit damage, HP, and armor as needed.

The first standard 1H DK build is 2/2 of the Heredur set, warlord shoulders/cape, and a mix of offence and defense items to make a high defense tank that can also dish it out. The second is 3/3 Warlord with the Wolfslayer shield and a mix of offence and defense. Lifekeeper may be used in any one of these builds in an attempt to have more HP regen at the cost of damage.

RAs generally rely on 3/5 or 4/5 of the Darkness armor with a quiver and they are starting to augment that with a mixture of the new moon set with eirther a % damage torso or speed gloves if they can. Shield builds also exist in PvP, but they are rare. They generally use a shield with the Warlord shoulders/cape and pieces of the Darkness set with some armor and HP items thrown in to make best use of the block stats. No matter what set up, most play with long bow these days, but you will see the rare short bow from time to time.

2H SWs usually use either a mix of Darkness and New Moon similar to the RAs, or they do a Warlord build similar to the DKs, but with usually no more than one Bloodtooth. It can go either way.

1H SWs are rare. Book SWs have inferior DPS compared to a 2H SW, but they have the advantage of speed. You would usually only see this with a Darkness armor set up like RAs. Similarly, orb SWs are rare, and they usually have a similar build to shield RAs.

Mechs are simple. The 1H ones are usually only used for HP Regen Dueling builds or flag running builds and they just try to get as much block, armor, and HP as they can and run while their turrets do their work for them. The 2H ones find anything that improves their damage and get their base as high as possible. That usually means 3/3 Black Warlord or 3/3 Bellicose with a % damage torso, and as much damage as they can get on their weapon and other items while trying to avoid crit/crit damage.

There you go... that is 90% of the top builds summed up for you. Sure, I would love to be able to inspect gear too, mostly so that I could just directly show people when they are curious about my stats and items (or in disbelief). If they do put it in, it should be something that has options associated with it. I'd recommend the following:
    1. Public, anyone can inspect.
    2. Friends or Guild or Group only (or a combination).
    3. Directly with a single individual
    4. Off

Sweet post Forum Emperor ! :) Personally I love the Wall-O-Text ( only say that cuz if this is like any other game forum you will
surely be chastised for it ) Great info that help! I also completely agree with the inspection rules - great idea. #inspectothers2017 haha

    Cheers Brotha !

The wonderful thing about being the second largest poster on the EN forums is that few people try to "chastise" me. :p

...And the few that do get in fights (not minor disagreements, blown out fights) with me are the ones that everyone can't stand anyway, so my feelings and reputation are left unhurt while they just make even bigger fools of themselves... It is great being the Emperor.

P.S. If you think that is a wall-o-text, you haven't seen some of my crazier threads/posts! :D I had one that when copied into MS Word, without images, was 9 pages.;)
