Why so stingy with the Gold drops?

So my problem is (yes, another one): I have 10 big coins which allow the player to go to mortis. And since I won't be able to kill mortis in the near future, they're wasting my inventory space.
What am I supposed to do with them? In the description it says its made of gold. But I can't sell it anywhere. Not even some pieces of silver for a big gold plate.
What parts of the body are involved when devising such logic?

Also, I'm pretty sure that if the crystals of truth would actually worth something money wise, still almost nobody would sell them (except maybe some spellweavers deleting accounts, hehehe mine to follow soon)
But still 1 copper for 1 COT, is that amusing or what. You have to sell 10000 of them for 1 gold. And this is for the most sought of material in the whole game.

This are just 2 examples but I could go on forever.

 

MMM well they haven't thought much about any part of the game, and don't like listening to players ideas so they just throw everything together and hope for the best....
