It's about that time for me to buy a new computer (usually I wait for the old one to go up in smoke but I am being proactive this year :))

Anyway I noticed that Windows 8 is not listed in the system requirements so I was wondering if this game runs on that OS.

    Thanks in advance.

Hehe, Thanks guys, I know that but it really does not answer my question. I have spent a few hours looking for a W 7 box today from my usual sources and nobody has them anymore, not even a refurb. I could build a homegrown to stay with 7 but I said I was being proactive, not motivated, lol.

LOL, I hate changing operating systems regardless of their features. The only real improvement was when Windows 3.0,1989 and 3.1, 1990 replaced DOS. (historical note: there was a Windows 2.0, 1987 and 2.1, 1988 but they looked really ugly with the PC graphics that were available at that time so nobody really used those. Back then if you really wanted a GUI OS you bought and Apple or Commodore.)

Windows 95/98 were OK but that was only because they took advantage of significant architectural changes in PC's. Since then PC's have really not changed much. They have just become bigger, faster, stronger but the way they work has basically remained the same.

Just when I have an OS figured out something comes up that I have to learn all over again (I did get lucky once and managed to skip Vista entirely. Although when that computer died it literally smoked because of the things I was doing to it to keep running newer software :D)

Oh well, I'm sure there is a "Windows 8 for Dummies" book out there

W7 to W8.1 is'nt a big change. I daresay 8.1 is even more similar to W7 than W8. Furthermore W8/8.1 is much more resource-efficient/faster than W7, so I see no point why you should stay on Windows 7
