    There is a "nesting" frog in temple of life. He caught my attention because he seems to be stuck in his little pond. All hints about him (dark environment, dungeon map, foul breath) are about right. The question remains what to do with him. Seeing him sit there brings to mind a nesting bird, so maybe he should lay us an easter egg. Killing him obviously does nothing. I tried waiting, nothing. Waiting with him attacking me, nothing. Thinking about all game mechanics for completing quests, maybe you should defeat all enemies in an area. As there are absolutely no hints, this could be the whole map, and remember mobs are re-spawning. No idea. Maybe you should use "sweetly blown kiss" emote, and he'll turn into someone...

    Anyway, i'm not gonna waste any more time with this, as i have already wasted quite enough. Supposedly some people simply "read" it all out from local database and/or log file. *sigh* Well, congrats to you, gg.

    Which brings me to my ===Question===
    Many players don't care/ignore completely achievements, because they give no reward ( apart from some titles ). Is there a chance that players would receive some reward for completing achievements? Maybe something like:
    1 achievement point = 10 andermant
    or
    2 achievement points = 1 draken
    Currently we have at 3500-ish achievement points in total. That's 35 000 andermant / 1750 draken in total. And consdiering all the effort you have to put in to achieve all that, i thinks its not too much (maybe too little ;) )
    What do you think?

    I've noticed that most of the people who have posted seem to be either DK's, rangers or SW. I don't think I've seen any SM's, perhaps because most of us are happy that we finally got beefed up - thank you! So I thought I'd share what i like and miss as a SM:

    Likes: That Quickshot generates steam, the new turret skill and that it is now practical to use the robot form without getting oneself killed afterwards because you are totally out of steam.

    Oh, I also like the new maps, new critters, skill system and wisdom system. i also appreciate that pvp is no longer neccessary for pve, except when doing the daily challenge for wisdom

    Ambiguous: I used to play 1 handed with a shield, which allowed me to be an offtank. I can't do that anymore. I don't fully understand how you changed block, but it seems to be much less reliable. Instead, i now play exclusively with a 2 handed weapon and am a glass cannon, even though my armor and hp are not too bad (3500 armor and 6500 hp at lvl 48). This was fine when i was 1 handed with a shield before 155, it will get me killed quickly post 155. So now I go all out dps and hope i kill critters before they reach me.

    I'm not saying this is a bad system, it's just a new way of playing for me, and there are definitely times I miss having a shield that was useful

    Dislike: Only 2 really -

    1. Heavy shot used to have a stun option. This was incredibly useful and doesn't exist post 155. Is there anyway that we could get it back? Please, with a cherry on top? You've made a lot of changes to the DK, how about just a little tiny change to the SM? ;)

    2. Legendaries - ugh, I know this has been talked about already on this thread, but i just thought I'd add my own 2 cents. I have found 1 single legendary (lvl 48) that is only slightly better than a good lvl 40 extraordinary i was wearing. Everything else (& I think i must have found about 25 legendaries already) has been straight to the melting pot. Something is still wacky here. I have, in general, found that armor, Hitpoints and resistance on items has been pitifully low, and the dmg on weapons is lower than lvl 45 legendaires pre-155. Not good.

    And now for 2 unrelated questions:

    1. Has there ever been any discussion about allowing options to change the camera angle? I know that there are videos posted on youtube with more of an over - the - should camera angle, so it should be possible. Personally, it's not (such) a big deal, but I do know of at least 2 friends that I tried to convince to play DSO who saw the camera angle and said they weren't interested.

    2. ATM, achievements are just vanity points, which means that they are exciting to some and seen as a waste of time to others - has there been any discussion of giving small practical benefits to achievements? I know other games (no names mentioned - no need to hit me with the hammer, ;) ) give benefits for achievements and titles. I was not thinking of anything large or gamebreaking, and certainly not in pvp, but perhaps small stat boosts in pve or something else?

    ooo - I just saw that the post above me has also asked about achievements - obviously i'm not the only 1 thinking about this!

    good point....

    remember though, with this beef up we are still weaker than rangers and sw's - no need to nerf us - not that it would stop them, lol

    oh, 1 other question:

    Weapons at the end of time - I know you are reworking PW's, is there any plan to beef up and improve (drastically) the Weapons at the end of time? These take a very large amount of farming to get and aught to be one of the strongest weapons in game. instead, they are aweful. They really need a drastic upgrade - if not, you might as well remove them

    I actually like the fact that SMs got beefed up, even though I only play a DK char, I always thought that the Steam Mechanics needed a good tweak. Very useful for PvE farming and I like a good PvP challenge. So, yes, well done on that part and no, we are not going to start a SMs is so OP now :)

    Except that the exhaustion damage is based off of a % of your HP. In theory, two people with different HP would both die at the same time (minus rounding errors) because it does more damage to someone with greater HP and less damage to someone with less HP. So, really, it is about who has more % of their HP remaining at the end of the time (i.e. who ever did a better job at not taking damage)... Think about that.

    I would also apreciate it if all existing capes were given the 1 gem slot that the new ones will already have. I'd hate to think about spending 290,400 andermant to get 5 slots on my 1K Gold cloak when someone who gets it the day after R157 comes out would only have to spend 96,000 to get to the same 5 slots... that or adjust the price to something that is not quit so stratospheric.

    Wanted to say the same as our Baragain did already. Seems fair to add 1-2 gem slots for sure on capes, would seem too expensive to add for example 75hp or 100 hp for that price, it wouldn't be worth the 4th and 5th slot, if we'd have to buy all the slots. With the andermant that one needs for that, you can add even more than 100 hp, I'd guess.

    So maybe, reduce the prices a little or add gem slots to already existing cloaks.


    That was 1 thing.... Other thing, I've just tested event on TS

    It's a nice, big event, creative and fun! Just a few things: Challenges seem to take a LOT of pearls, and when I say a lot, I do mean so. 100 pearls for 40-50/1200 progress, so I'd guess, let's have fun! Seems too much for me, even when I'm not sure if event is final, but we will see!


    Although I didn't test everything (don't have that much time), this is my opinion.


    You might wanna reduce cost of pearls for those challenges, some of us might want to summon Sargon, Heredur, ... in that map as well, which costs 90pearls now, damn much.

    And in the Dragan event, if a level 50 player fights a level 50 boss, will they get level 50 drops, even uniques?

    I think that tehy nerf dk even more with R157... now you can re-stun (is that right word) every 60 and 19 second and it use to be 19 and 15 (i am just throwing these number cuz i am not near game rigth now).

    Hey... hey DEVS we want:

    Passive rage bulid up for 100%
    Battle frenzy reduce cost by at least 30



    Now look these 2, two!!! requests... so simple, so easy, no dmg req, no more free hp reg, just few simple things...

    That doesn't sound good at all...
    Well, Battle Frenzy rage costs should be reduced to 20 in my opinion and 30 is the bare minimum it should be cut down by. Again, these two requests wouldn't fix the DKs to make it a balanced class.

    What I mean is, Haruki and Greg, please take my char for a spin against Mooj or Bigmomma in 1v1 (Tegan server), this will be better than a thousand words. You will see what's on my char and on these powerful rangers (they are both awesome players), I am sure we are pretty equal gemwise (as you haven't invented anything above those yet) I don't understand how rangers can fight you in close combat and beat you. They are supposed to be ranged class and a DK is supposed to be dangerous in melee combats and no ranged class (of equal setup and level) should be able to fight a DK toe-to-toe. Logging into my char will answer a lot of your questions about it.

    I don't want DKs or any other class to be OP, all I want and, I am sure majority of good and loyal DSO players would agree with me on this, is a good and fair balance in the game. I don't want DKs to be OP to any other classes as it would not be a fair game. As it was mentioned before by someone on the forum, DKs is the biggest payers segment of the gamers' community. So, if f2p players are complaining about DKs winning in PvP and BP decides to nerf DKs based on that, then seriously I feel like completely stopping supporting this project for good.

    I don't want to have BPs decisions based on that. All they need to do is to analyse the game data from PvP matches and also have two equal chars from different classes be taken to multiple matches and then have a proper analysis done. Then do the balancing. The way things are it's absolutely crazy.

    if I am not mistaken, GameStar wrote that review in 2011. The game has changed a lot since then - maybe not at the pace that you would deem necessary but as far as I am concerned, we have been introducing sound changes into the right direction. That particular paragraph you are mentioning (a pity that the Wikipedia article is not nurtured with different opinions across other sites - some late reviews from Rise of Balor were on a more favorable note to us...) has still relevance, of course, I am not saying otherwise. We certainly want to increase the fairness of the game for everyone, regardless of the money invested.

    As I said somewhere else, yes, having extra information on last connection dates plus other amenities for Guilds and Guild Leaders is something that the team will take into consideration - once they start working fully on revamping the guild season! We have already put them in the loop on your wishes and we will try to comply with them.


    I can totally see this working! I approached Jason with the topic and he confirmed that at the moment we do not have this in the pipeline so we will just go ahead and propose it for future implementation. I think putting this in the skill slot would not work, unless you think about it in terms of strategy and how you distribute your slots according to priorities... We will see whether adding a clickable event on fallen heroes in your group could work for this. ;)

    Just as a disclaimer, do not expect this to be implemented in rel158 or rel159 until we confirm you this.

    Hopefully the Twitch came close to your expectations. I am personally happy we found the reason for my camera lag.

    --Would the existing guild hierarchy structure be enhanced? As far as I know we have not touched this subject in any of our review meetings concerning the present and the future of the guild system. Tbh I think we will favor before other features that seem to have more utility... although I like the idea of empowering more the GM with switching rights, as you call them.

    Summing up: we will include this in our community suggestions for the designers and keep you in the loop whenever one of these features gets inside "we are developing this" kind of phase.

    --Suggestion on adding a travel speed in the character's stat sheet: suggestion passed to the respective master designer. ;)

    the burning grass thingie is something I personally adore - I wish we could add more and more interactive events in maps that actually change the narrative and appearance of those locations when you visit them later on. I know that this is also the desire of the level and event designers so I hope the next array of new events and the future content expansion will take on those basis implemented already with Lor'Tac and take it to the next level.

    If you have the Dragan ring and the temple guardian set and your HP drop below 30% then yes, you will summon TWO helpers instead of one. Pretty nice, init?

    About the Q&A section: in this case is my bad since I looked mainly to Facebook for those questions or for questions asked to us via the moderation team. In the next Twitch session (23rd of this month) we will make balance of Rel157 and I would like to take the time to address more juicy general inquiries so I will take a look to those ones. Nothing personal against interrogations such as "when Gnob come?", "when Sargon come?", "do u dye ur hair, gurl?"... - but you probably get me here.

    Why was not the Dragan set reworked in time for this event? Well... it just was not. I know, it's not a very satisfying answer but I cannot really provide you any other reality framework for this case. Yes, the Dragan event was being prepared since a long time already but also general map polishing, PW rework, Lor'Tac map balancing, etc... It's of course uncertain when will Dragan try to come back again to the world of Dracania after the Halloween heist but I will invest myself and my integrity here by supposing that you will not need to wait until next Summer for a reworked set.

    I also wonder why or if that information got lost. Or maybe we just had never announced what the testers had found before and that resulted in this information being new somehow even if it was not. In any case, yes, this issue with the lasers seems to be a loading issue of each particular computer. Annoying as that is, we have not managed to find a final complete solution for it (as I write there is one developer trying to find the exact cause, if this lays in our ends). We will list it in the Known Issues paragraph once the patch notes make it to these boards. Sorry about that.


    I sent the screenie to our level designers. As you say, this odd bug appears randomly in other maps as well and its randomness makes it hard to fix. For example, it also happens sometimes on the bridge to the boss room at the PW Grimmagstone. Problem is that our team gets to these locations but the bug cannot be reproduced so we have them in a kind of limbo scenario, like waiting for Godot... My opinion is for you to keep on emailing these cases to Support, since we do have a direct connection with them when it comes to bugs so the QA team will have a look at it and try to reproduce.

    Sorry I cannot be bearer of more definitive news in this respect.


    Hey mister, I would advise to hold yourself to your chair since a great deal of answers will come with their pertinent #soon attached. I apologize for our seemingly effortless attempt in addressing these issues.

    1. The fix for the bugture: no, this is indeed not applied in Rel157 and I just got a confirmation that it may not make it for Rel158. Will try to push it for it though and see what happens... However consider that this is a minor issue when compared to the scope of other features already in the pipeline since weeks.
    2. Pop-up obtru- and intrusiveness when opening the TS shop: there is nothing official to communicate to you guys concerning these windows, their recurrence, sizes, styles and the possibility to add them to the game entry pop-ups rather than in the shop. Disclaimer for future readings of this thread: I will surely come back IF or WHEN there is something to share with you regarding this topic or any other one that has been risen here and has not yet a complete final answer.
    3. Increasing minimum values for non-legendary lvl 50 gear: pretty much like above. Nothing to communicate regarding this. There are, however, plans to raise the maximum power of level 50 items in general in order to improve your happy looting experience.
    4. Are we revealing min/max enchantments data in there boards: have you seen any new threads in the Official Announcements section regarding this? That's pretty much where all juicy pieces of information go. No, we have not yet made up our minds to reveal those values. I am also unable to state whether this will happen in the future or not.
    5. About the Lightning Strike: we are investigating whether this has another reason than the attack speed because the message might also come when clicking on a point outside the walkable paths... The team is aware of this, in their list, so expect further announcements in the future, you know, #soon.
    6. The Teleport + Mount issue: this is another bugture, we think. And yes, we want to implement it back to the game. As with the first bugture we commented, it is unsure whether it will make it for Rel158.


    Actually we have the windows closed while Twitching. This creates this kind of Lor'Tac jungle vibe we so much adore because it favor immersion. Humid, hot, vibrating. We close the windows to ensure that the general charade that happens everyday at the Alexanderplatz does not interfere with the sessions that much (but you could argue that German ambulances are one of the loudest of this planet Earth). Plus we are these days entering into the German autumn, which means that we are plainly in the beginning of winter already and open windows would be an open invitation to frostbite.

    Behind our backs we have walls so it's kind of normal that we use them to hang DSO posters. We could certainly go to Ikea and purchase a set of shelves to showcase our nerf guns, Dragan figurines, boxed titles and other decoration. However, no one really wants to mingle with those Ikea instructions more than necessary... and anyway we hope people see the Twitch for the speech (and bonus code) rather than the wall content.

    The majority of the crashes that Twitch suffer pertain to Twitch. Not all, but the majority.

    East Berlin has still some shadowy areas but it's nevertheless a fully equipped area of Berlin to live and work in!!

    I personally thought this Twitch session was more interesting that some preceding ones since we were tackling specially a whole bunch of informative pieces about what is coming this week. Would be very nice if you could partake what you consider as "correct manors" for us to actively learn and do better.

    Because we showed you precisely what has been worked on for this upcoming release so you can come to these boards and let us know what your opinion about them are. Believe me, the moderators have very quick and to-the-point eyes and they communicate effectively your thoughts. On a side note: we mentioned generally what the changes to the DK would be and we have posted today a thread about them in the Test Server (here).

    And once again: I am deeply sorry if we seem to be living in the World of If (although for me is more the Stay Tuned and Soon republics of Someday) and you do not get as many factual answers as you would like. I personally disfavor creating factual expectations of non-factual future implementations... so I can only confirm when a bug, change or feature have entered into their "design" phase.

    I will jump and confess that I personally loved the design of the Quetzacoatl colorful lady... very impressed by the work that you two made on that one. Back to the topic of cloaks: all capes have one gem slot by default now. Existing cloaks will be patched automatically by us and new ones will have one slot from the start. Re-re-re-rejoice!

    Hope you do not mind that I jump directly to your questions...

    --Camera angle and DSO: The first time I played the game I got as far as a couple of steps within the tutorial. Then I opened the Settings menu and searched for the option of changing that kind of isometric view. Disappointment somehow kicked in because I normally do not play with this camera angle. However, the more I played, the more natural it looked until I accepted it as part of my game experience.

    This has been asked a lot of times. Problem is, DSO was created originally to serve this camera and as result of that, implementing any other angle would mean that the teams have to go through ALL the maps, the monsters, the designs..., and adapt them for this purpose. To give you an example: some buildings were designed as in an old Hollywood epic movie, like props, meaning that they are "empty" on the other side.

    As you may imagine, this is a titanic enterprise. Not easy to tackle. And certainly not in our priorities right now.

    --Achievements and benefits for completing them: No, we have no plans to do that in the near future.

    Simple solution: when you teleport to town you will be automatically on mount that is in your quickslot, why not make this?;)

    Hi there! I am in spanish's forum usually but I would like, if it's possible, an answer for a simple question. In the attached image can see four shields, two came from workbench, rest of them, random drop from monsters, and this is my question: It's normal? and if your are planning to change something in the game often can appears more shields with shield block rate (%). Apologize me, my english is not so good as I would like to be and thanks a lot for everything ;)

    Hold your horses there i think that R157 is suppose to only fix dk's issues in PvE. There will be PvP balancing shortly after R157 if im not misstaken a lot :)

    You have said previously that if you dont answer a question, that we should just ask it again... I got the impression that ideas from the creative corner part of the forum were overlooked. When you guys say you read the forums, do you read all parts? If you don't why bother posting anywhere apart from here?

    It appears to me that threads in the creative corner disappear into the general archive after a few months. I disagree with this, good ideas might be missed.

    Please tell me that when the road map is figured out, you guys do look at the creative corner for ideas.

    To reiterate, i would like to see last logged in for guilds, the tab key changing all skill slots instead of just the right click button to a second skill, and freeing up a skill slot by having one or two boxes that items (health poitions/buffs) can be used.

    I would be happy enough knowing that these ideas were at least considered and voted against rather than just being ignored.

    A new complication exists. There should be a bonus for guild activity: 0.1% for each person, up to 5.0% for a full guild.
    But my guild is being shorted. Support tells me that zombies (inactive players) don't count, but can't tell me who they are.
    Surely DSO can figure out a better way.

    We also need to know how long a player has to be inactive, before zombiehood is official. Maybe you can grey the names out, like in the friend's list.

    Hi, can you please give the DK's all they want but not nerf the other classes? I play as a mage so if you nerf Destruction skill (I watched some YT videos and in PvP it's hit and kill sometimes) nerf it for PvP not for PvE... Thanks

    mmm let's see you said threads in the creative córner disappear after just few months...

    this is page number 6 of creative córner the last post was made on 21 may...if my 4th year degree in engineering helps me that's 5 motnhs...almost half year-...and almost half is not few... because few is 1 or barely 2... in other words creative is there you just neet to use it.


    then @Haruki

    our friends here says he wants the tab key to change all skills not just the secondary...please dont do this, players havent even discussed about it yet, just because one guy here posted doesnt mean all players want it.

    I am also glad that BP decide to listen community and put 1 more female costume with which I hope we can show our hair and face (mostly costume are the same on all).Thank you BP :)
    I dont think so CMs need to be against anybody ( Haruki said only her personal opinion) ,we are all different and have different taste.
