Here is how you would solo dragan with melee. My run wasn't perfect and I took a few hits, but the idea is that you circle around drgan until he does his attack. That's when you would start attacking him, while he is recovering from his attacks. When you are experienced enough you don't even have to think about it, it becomes automatic.

 

158 PW's and the rampant twink issue. My questions are as follows:
1. The xp bug that boosted the twinks to lvl 45. They opened all map areas including Watery Grave and Grimmagstone. I know it won't matter because tomorrow they can access new PW start point IF they have a lv 50 toon that is already in Watery Grave, but for the twink accounts who do not have any other toons that are already in PW, are you going to restrict them back to the allowed map areas and if they want to get into PW's they have to level up or build a fast level toon to get in? And on that note, are you going to close off the opened maps that they are not supposed to be able to get into on each twink account? Granted Varholm and Blackborg have always been accessible for twinks and gappers, and even that should be fixed but in all fairness especially for pvp purposes, will you repair the exploits YOU (DSO) have created? There's no reason a twink should now be able to farm higher level melt to buff their toons even more and make low level pvp that much more unbearable for new players.
2. Why level 10 allowed now in PW's? Kingshill is bad enough to be in and endure twink chat but now you want to let these people infest the new PW base and chat there will be full of lvl 10's and 20's asking for gappers because they are all too lazy to do the work themselves and level up and DSO just loves giving them exploits to get everything free in game.
3. Why is it after MANY people have asked questions regarding Twinks, offered solutions to fix it, that DSO continues to cater to them? It all has a diverse effect on pvp and keeping new players in game.

It seems you don't do much research. In this thread discussion has been invited by the CM. So your desire for 1 on 1 communication doesnt exist. May I suggest tickets to Berlin. With that in mind, nothing was wrong with you asking a question or getting an answer from someone. Your question: Plans to get tankier? The answer: you don't need to be more tanky for event bosses you need to use a better technique. So far so good, where it went south for you was presuming that someone giving you advise was somehow a party foul and your reattacking with an attitude. You see if you had done some self research which I would assume is why you came to the forums, you would have gotten future plans and history of the changes and made it all easier. Good luck getting a resolution or answer you want but odds are against you it will be satisfactory.

Good job but you take 4 hits = 480 ander.
My point is that I can do the same thing on a DK, probably I will take some hits over the 30-40 runs it took me to complete the set.

If you WANTED to , you could fight exclusively ranged and have a way less chance of taking hits. DK doesn't have that option.

I'm a keyboard warrior now... Not sure if it is a promotion, but I can tell you I have a lot more than 9000 hours sunk into this game and about 1000 times less money than you think... and that was a gift of premium that someone bought me for my birthday. What this means is that I know what I'm talking about and you don't.

Also, this pompous fool knows more about Dragon Knights than the two CMs put together (I've been playing this game longer than the two of them have been CMs put together also). Plus, I don't insult, I point out facts that people don't like.

Finally, feel free to take your own advice and "shut up." Not only do you know nothing about this game, you are not even offering anything constructive to the conversation. You are simply making a generalization because you can't do something easily.


On a side note... if you think tanking these mini bosses is hard, have you ever been the tank for any of the End Game bosses (Balor, Mortis, Khalys)? 'Cus if you are griping about how hard these little bosses are, I'd hate to hear you complain about how impossible the really tough bosses are (bosses which I tank on a daily basis).

Long story short, you aren't going to be able to do things as easily as someone like me in just months when I've been playing for years. Unless you pay tons of money, you are going to have to farm for at least another 12-15 months before you are close to me stats wise and can tell me that you know anything about how a DK should be played.

If you READ my original post, I ask if there are any plans top make a DK tankier. Simple question.

Players that don't have a lot of item or gear want to enjoy this game in a reasonable way too, you know? Maybe being able to take more than 1 hit with a melee class when the price of revive is 120 anders.

Maybe the Devs will answer "yes DK is not tanky enough considering its melee vs other classes"
Maybe they will answer, "No DK is tanky enough just farm 1000 hours or spend $1000"

Either way, I posted to get reponse from a Dev.

Okay but if you can't even survive 1 hit from Dragan (normal hits, not when he is raged) as a DK, then that is your problem and you should know what to expect when you take on the hard version of the event. Yes DK doesn't have the option to spam ranged attacks and fighting in melee range means more chances to take damage. But this is a given when you picked this class to play and begs the question of why you didn't see this through with your immense gamer knowledge and pick a ranged class to begin with?

My experience with DKs has been different. In my group, the DK would always use battle frenzy to hold aggro and actually tank the bosses. The DK has a completely defense build and deals little to no damage while I go full offensive with essence to get the job done faster. Battle frenzy actually eliminated the need for DKs to have high DPS and use essence to hold aggro so their job is pretty sweet if they can tank. And its not like the DKs I grouped with are heavy cash DKs, they do spend but nothing like $9,000. The benefit of heavy cash comes mostly from gems, but being a good tank requires more from farming good legendary items rather than from having a full set of sacred of royal gems.

And I did read your original post, and I answered that it is unnecessary (for PvE), but they are doing it anyway because of PvP balance issues, not PvE issues that don't exist. If I thought that it would actually make a difference to you, I'd make a video of how to tank with only basic gear, but you'd still find something to complain about or tell me how i don't know what I'm talking about, or some other stupid BS like that. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink.

And yes, I will freely admit, I am arrogant, because I've earned that right. When you are one of the best, you get to act like it and get away with it. There are people here who are skilled enough, talented enough, and smart enough when it comes to this game to be arrogant, but you are not one of them. [Edited by CM: please, be nice]

And I stand by what I said before... If DKs are soooooo hard and the ranged classes are so much better, then stop crying and go play a ranged character.

Thank you for answer in the last twitch about my question to add a new button for skills, I'm still thinking that it would be awesome within the technical limits, but no matter, maybe in a near future. My question now is whether the item enhancement system will continue as this, leveling a legendary object from 50 to 51 costs almost 14 millions of glyphs, melting a legendary (50) are 8400 glyphs, can't tell anything else about it, something similar happens with the extraordinary items asking about 4 millions of glyphs. I would like a small/big reduction in the cost of improvement if is possible, please, otherwise well, at least I thought it would be appropriate mention this happening with the issue of leveling objects, really thank you for all.

I can post here in response to another. I can post here and ask the CMs a question. I can post any random thought I cared to share. You have no more right to post than I do.
