Sorry to give a sad overview. On the italian forum it has just been published the announcement that the workbench 2.0 will have the ability to restore only 2 of the 4 initial items used for crafting. This in order to prevent that "your characters become too strong, too quickly and easily". Read here after the green Because it is no longer possible to restore all 4 ingredients: http://bit.ly/1TugtsM

Well how would the 2 be choosen. That would be my question. It is almost like they want to destroy the feature before it is even released.

The items that made people strong where at a cost of years of gold farming. And this was 1 item. I really do not see the HOW QICKLY a person can be made strong...

I am sorry to break the party ... but they changed the system ...
It is on TS again and now 2 items are being destroyed upon revert.

A year passes quickly, while they need to last the game longer. And still they prefer not to risk.

But it is curious to notice that they are smart enough to devise a so well articulately system as crafting 2.0 is, and they are NOT enough to understand that the recovery of just two items (being all four very powerful, and costing each one several weeks or months of hard farming) condemn the workbench to continue to be just a useless artifact placed somewhere in a map.

At this point, rather than a workbench that restores in half, it would be better a workbench 1.0 (the current one) that in a X number of cases per 100 attempts guarantees randomly but definitely "some" yellow bonus in the resulting item.

If they will confirm the restore of just 2 items, they could even rename the next workbench as crafting 1.1. But it is cool, I'm going to throw 6000 gold on jesters ;):p

Why don't you just scrap the revert and destroy all 4 original inputs when crafting. That way people won't feel compelled to throw massive amounts of gold/andermant at the crafting bench. You get minimal change compared to the current system and very little chance of game-changing builds in a short period of time.

Sure, paying players will still get an advantage. What's new?

Certain players spent thousands of dollars to become OP.

Then DSO decides to create a system where farming and intelligent planning may balance that.

Certain players get upset, and the rest of us get ........ I really can't think of a nice way to say it.

Payers will simply use the same system to become even stronger.

I've only paid for a few 3-day prem stint, but I don't see why there is such a strong disdain for the payers in the forums. They support a game they enjoy playing in return for an advantage.

I don't dislike payers either. I appreciate that they are the reason that the game exists. What I take issue with is that BP caters to them... not just offering advantages, but at time game breaking advantages that a F2P can't hope to compete with (Jester gems, 25% reduced glyphs on upgrading, enormous gems worth $300 each that have a huge impact, etc). Compare this to some other F2P games out there that are very successful, but with a P2P mechanic focuses on cosmetics or small advantages. This is the difference between P2P and P2W which this game is on a regular occasion.

I have no issue with anyone who wishes to pay. I was a regular premium user and buyer of gems before the great nerfing.

If someone wants to drop hundreds or thousands into this game, more power to them.

However, the issue that I do have, is that everyone gets effected by that small percentage of the player base.

When the great nerfing happened, it was because of the heavy payers getting way too OP. I got punished because of something that I had zero effect on.

Now with crafting 2.0 my ability to improve is being hampered simply because a small percentage of people got butt hurt because they didn't get all the advantage.

Yes it could be abused by the payers, but overall this would have closed the gap significantly. That is why we aren't getting it.

This new crafting is not changing, this will be implemented because the devs only give us the system that we hate , if we start loving any system it is permanently removed from game.
They really dont care about our feedback, actually they removed this feature because this feature will get us to some aim for making our chars stronger but the devs want all randomness in every single thing(gambling system). From the mounts to the emotes from the dark unics to the gems in jesters all in all has gambling system and the crafting 2.0 was not like that before so now they make it like that too.....:mad::mad::mad::(:(:(:(:(:(
    sorry for poor english

Well I tried it a few times on the test server. I had some crashes on the test server so I think it is just for testing this feature.

As it is now if you have 4/4/4/3 you get a 4 gem item was not able to test 4/4/4/2 or 4/4/3/3 but I hope it will still be 4. I found it favors the destroyable items when I tried crafting. Again this could be luck.

If you DC you get the crafted item.

at least we should have the option of which 2 items to keep if crafting is reverted or the whole crafting 2.0 system will be wasted since loosing 2 items +loosing gold or andermant

we already have the option of that the first two items u put inside the crafting bench can be kept after reverting, but this system is useless it gives the exact same stats as in ingredients, so u cant improve your items by crafting, just a crossover....

Amusing. Now, do you have anything constructive on how it could be made better considering that it is unlikely that they will do a complete reversal?

Yes I have, but that doesn't matter, they will do as they want, regardless of what we all think.

In the end it's just a Destroyer of items!

Yes, they will do whatever they do, we all know that.

However, if we do not offer suggestions or alternatives, then we should not complain about what we get.

Man you still don't get it.
All this was one big set-up ... it was all planed in advance. Both (and maybe there is third) crafting systems were made before they released the initial version. Their goal was to deceive the general community .
It was all planned by their marketing department and BP's management.
The devs were ordered to do it. They have no right to vote in BP ... even if they are claiming they own their agency.
Management ... that is what they do ... they screw people and run to another company in short time.
