Hi. I made this for myself, but thought it would be a better idea to actually share it with ya'll.

It took me some time to figure out how the whole calculation works...
I tried to make the calculator as nice and as user friendly as possible. I hope you like it and give me some mone- sorry... I mean comments :]

Some credit goes here, but the thread is now slightly outdated and at least for me - too complicated :/

    Sooo here goes the

    BASE DAMAGE CALCULATOR

    How to use it?
You can't anymore. Sorry. Thank certain people. lol

Wow, that is very nice. Thank you for sharing.

It looks like it only calculates 1 damage number at a time though? So I cannot generate both min/max damage at the same time, or account for items with different min/max damage like weapons, adornments, witch seeker set.

Unfortunately no. But it can be helped easily:

Just copy the whole thing and paste it below or next to the original chart. The calculation formulas get copied with it. Then fill the first chart with minimum values and the copy with maximum values.

If I find a more elegant way to do it, I'll update the chart...

Thanks for checking it out. It helped me to get an idea how much my damage output changes with different values on my gear, and I hope it helps you too :]

Well, I see % damage and % IDotI... but were is % Weapon Damage? Read the first half of this post and see where that takes you.

The calculator works. If you fill in your values, it returns the correct number. I've tested it countless times with different gear and weapons. Nothing else is needed.

    You sure about that?

You do realize that you are talking to the single most knowledgeable individual on the EN forums when it comes to the calculation mechanics and that I'm the guy who wrote the post you reference in you OP, right? I don't tell you that you have something to fix unless I know you have something to fix.

Insert the 100% bonus into any %idoti in the "sets" section.
It's not really a set bonus, but it is a special unique bonus on that item after all.

The calculator works differently with numbers in the weapon section and in the sets section.

    Yep... of the %WD verity.

Or, you could accurately reflect that there are three types of multipliers (%D, %IDotI, and %WD), and just gray it out on all items that it wouldn't apply to. Then wisdom would reflect reality, as would the Dragan items, instead of needing some special caption. That also allows for future sets or items that may be introduced with %WD down the road.

    For example:

Or you could make a better calculator on your own instead of writing a kilometer long theoretical essay on how damage is calculated. I referenced it to give you some credit, but I barely used it. Of course, because my calculator is lacking a neat facade. Who cares it's more practical than your complex theory.

I'm taking it down. Don't you ever use it as a foundation for any future projects. Not that you would, because the tool doesn't work in your opinion. Main thing you are always right, even if it's just a matter of a neat chart that works the same way.

Why do I even bother doing something constructive.
This forum is garbage because of people like you. Sorry dude.

Such a calculator already exists, so why would I when I already have one that does all offensive stats, and not just Damage? It's been copied at least two times, and I'm happy to have people use my work as a foundation and make it better... but what I'm not a fan of is something either inaccurate or misleading.

I'm trying to make sure that something being offered as a tool works right and reflects reality. If that is too much for you, Removing it is probably for the best.

  11. Well, if this calculator is no more, I'll just go ahead and close this thread.
