We've heard how OP the original Crafting 2.0 was going to be and that it justified a nerf before it ever even went live. Now we have the watered down version coming in less than 12 hours. I know we already have "Show What You Have" threads for each class, but I'd like to start this general one for Crafting 2.0 results across all the classes. Let this thread stand as a monument, for better or worse, to this most recent iteration of Crafting 2.0.

General Guide to What to Post Here:
    • Don't post pictures of "Ingredient" items, that is purples/blues/greens, unless they are truly remarkable. For example, an Improved shield with 0.65 block strength is remarkable because it is the max block strength. Likewise, a 10.0% Damage Magic torso is equally impressive. On the other hand, an item with no gold lines, or low gold lines is not going to turn many heads in people's search for perfection.
    • You can post remarkable successes or failures, but to be fair, share why it is such. For example, say you crafted 4x 2/4 legendaries and then crafted them and got a 0/4 legendary, that would count as a spectacular failure. Personally, in terms of successes, I'd limit them to 2/4 legendaries or higher since 1/4 legendaries aren't even rare by today's standards.
    • Videos are cool too. If you are planning to do a ton of crafts and want to show the process, or if you've taken multiple screenshots of your process/steps over time, sharing that is great. Again, just try and make sure that it is something that will get the attention of the community.
    • If you can, keep track of the gold/items (good and junk) used during this process too. While we mostly care about the end result, it would be interesting to see how much reality follows the math of the process.

Lets make this the visual diary documenting Crafting 2.0. Time will tell if this system is actually beneficial or if the nerf truly removed any usefulness from this all together.

I'm not sure if that is a joke that I'm not getting or if it is the wrong picture.

Not a joke nor a wrong picture.
I have no items and resources left.
If I was melting all those items ... I could have 50M GoPs instead of 300K, and all my resources intact.
Now I have no items, no resources left and 300K GoPs. :)
    Isn't that great?

Ah, so that is test server... Maybe I should add that as another "Guideline"... No Test Server Pics, Just what you achieve on your real toons.

Just got one pic. It is not directly referred to an item, but it is related to the collateral effects of new crafting.

Moreover, it seems to be never too late (or too early) for a good nerfing: I did about 35-40 runs q3 mode3 map1 in last 3 days. I got an average below 0.5 items/run with one yellow line (and never in a 2h weapon). My average was 1-1.5 items/run till few days ago, as I reported in another thread. Ok maybe they didn't make a nerf... and it's been just a coincidence/bad luck... lol.

Ok let's try to post the pic now... in the hope to have a last drop of power for doing it... because I do not feel good at all now and I can't write further

And here is my first usable item from Crafting 2.0! The armor is lower than I'd like, but the damage is very nice!

The real downside is the single slot... that will likely only get opened to 4 slots.

    EDIT:
So I tried to push my luck some. I put the item above on the bench with a 1/4 (9.54% damage) and two random legendaries with a bunch of slots to see what could happen. I lucked out... that's what happened!

The downside: I lost one of my larger % damage lines, the 9.73%. I also lost the HP line, but that doesn't bug me since I didn't need HP as much as I wanted armor.

The upside: I got a 4 slot legendary. That means that it only cost me 1600 to open the 5th slot. The other upside, the armor line is better. The other upside, while I lost 0.19% damage from the change in % lines, the addition of the little 4.67% damage line more than made up the difference.

I've now reached my goal for a torso, and this will hold me for several months while I shift my focus to my weapon now.

    EDIT 2:
    I'M ON FIRE!

So I started working through my 1600 cubes and worked on my weapon some.

    Here was my first legendary:
This one had the potential to replace my existing 2h sword, but it would be too expensive to open 4 slots, so I decided to hold onto it for the time being.

So next I focused on crafting my blues into a 2/3 exo. I got lucky on my first try. So then I took the 2x 2/3 exos and 2x 1/3 exos and managed to make another 2/4 legendary, but it wasn't that impressive due to the other two stats being too low. From there, I took a gamble. I put the 2x 2/4 and the 2x 1/4 on the bench together and I knew full well that I was probably just wasting my 2x 1/4s and that I would likely need to revert. I am so happy that I was wrong:

Head over the the 2H thread to see it with gems and the Show What You Have thread to see what this has done for my toon.

Loool. It seems that you cannot complain anymore :) :) :)

Sounds cool to think that you have had a such "luck" in a so short amount of attempts. I can't say the same about myself, unfortunately :( My results were all really bad... and I think they do not need to nerf anymore, if they just take in count what it was my personal experience :p

I have had no luck so far with 2.0 however I have come across something interesting. Random crafting a la 1.0 is still alive within the new system only now it can be done with legendarys at a fairly low cost.

Today I had a bunch of consumable legendary fillers ( high slot, low stat) that were left over from yesterday on several toons. I started tossing these mixed items in the workbench for dailys. Even with the randomized items/stats/slots my success ratio of getting a better item than equipped was about 1:4.

I should note this was on players with gear that is just "good enuf" to solo pve and, very patiently, painful pw. Still this gives me pause to think about what to do with junk legendary drops. I now have a third option along with melt or sell.

    Luck be with ye,
    Mikey,

    Well, here is a fourth.
You can also use them as junk items with 2/4 and 3/4 legendaries in spaces 3 and 4 so that all you risk is the gold but have good odds at passing on good stats to a new legendary.

    Congrats!

Can you share how did you craft this?

Beyond how I loosely described it in the post? I can try, but since I didn't think it would work, I wasn't paying close attention to what exactly I put in, just the loose information I gave above.

You are now banned from talking about bad luck :D

Now that you have a torso and weapon, what's the next gear goal?

Congratulations Bargain, now shush and never post again pics of craft, so I don't get 1 item revert next release

I didn't get the strength lines to carry over, but this is a small improvement over my wolf shield.

It isn't worth opening up the other gem slots. Hopefully the next craft will be better.

Next on my "To Do" list is making a pure crit damage amulet with 60%-64% crit damage (starting with 45%-48% as my intermediary goal). I already have a pure crit decoration and belt and with those and a second Bloodtooth, I can get 55% crit rate rather easily. With those changes, I'd lose about 300 damage and 7.5% attack speed, but gain nearly 10% crit rate and 45%-64% Crit damage (bringing my total crit damage to about 305%-320%). My DPS would be through the roof. The problem is that I only have one amulet with an acceptable crit damage line on it. Those lines (of sufficient quality) seem more rare than any other kind on any other item. Also, I can't forget that I also need to get that torso even better as time, gold, and drops allow. It is nice, but it is really just a stepping stone.
