There had been debate back and forth and both had reasons it would and would not work. Now we know for sure and it doesn't shock me. It does mean that I doubt that I'll be doing any unique transfer weapons any time soon.

Actually, Zed, those 2 items can only be bought. They don't drop. And they scale sell.
All the other 6 pieces of the automated set only drop and I have all but one. The dropped ones also, unfortunatly for me, only drop as level 44 or 45. I've already glyphed my dropped ones to 46 and the next level costs 311k each (1.56M for 5 items).

I would consider this a bug. Crafting axes and hammers is possible and it was like that forever. Why would one prohibit mixing those with uniques? Makes no sense.

Especially since it is only the enchantments that transfer and the enchantments are the same for 2H Axes, Swords, and Hammers. Just another example of how DKs get the short end of the stick when having to balance six different weapon types and a shield. Next closest is Rangers who have to balance three types of weapons and two types of off hands. Meanwhile, SMs and SWs only have to worry about two each and we all know that SMs really only care about one... the 2H cannon.

I need some help. I haven't been following the crafting since lvl 55 started.
I knew how the crafting worked prior to lvl55 but this is strange.

I tried to move a gold line from greens to blue but I got a completely different gold line !?!?
    slot 1 +35-44dam, +736CHR lvl 55 item
    slot 2 +20-29dam, +285CHR lvl 53 item
    slot 3 +45-55dam, +350CHR lvl 55 item
    slot 4 +31-41dam, +612CHR lvl 54 item

    result is 14-23dam, +707CHR lvl 54 ltem

Is it because it is a lvl 54 item if I upgraded it, it would have the desired +736?

    Thanks

yes , glyphing it to 55 would get you the desired effect. Crafting it with 55 items to get a 55 gold line won't help as the stats don't scale upwards..just downwards
anyway you got whacked at the base stats outcome of your adornment

I have a question: What would be the best torso for tanking? I mean i term ofgolden enchantments? Would it be 4 x Armor on this item or something else? I m not sure becausehere was a 10 k armor cap before but i m not sure if it was removed or just changed?

Depends on the rest of your gear. The more armor you get from other sources, the more valuable %armor becomes relative to %armor on this item. Not sure which is more valuable though

As said this is not correct.
With crafting (normal crafting not the "transfer" onto unique items) the CHR base stat scale according with the resulting item lvl (upwards and downwards).
What I have noticed is that the tier SEEMS to matter.
If you took BASE STATS from a tier 4 item but the resulting item got a tier 1, the base stats will be lowered down to the max values of tier 1 (this is the only explanation I found when I saw items with lower base stats than the original ones even if the lvl was the same).
The ones that ONLY downscale while crafting are the % enchants (if the resulting item has a lower lvl than the one that it took the enchantment from).

    Actually it is correct.
I have said it is not correct and left the date in my post with a reason.
The crafting has been changed ... and with this R188 all previously crafted items with absolute enchantments has been nerfed down and capped to level 50. And of course ... i am talking about non-unique items crafting.

and I corrected the post saying that BASE STATS (not enchantments) with CHR (adornament's base stat) is still scaled with item lvl since the guy that made the question was talking about the base stat not the enchantment stat.

Way to go BugPoint... No one, and I mean absolutely NO ONE is thanking you for "fixing" this "bug."

Sure, 62 crit may not seem like much, but that means I lose 132 crit over all which is about half a percent and in my final vision for my weapon decoration, that 62 would have been worth more than 1% over all.

How about I take some time off from the game and come back when you are done nerfing everything to hell so that I can actually play and plan intelligently without fear that thousands of gold spent today becomes worthless tomorrow. That sound fair?
