Help searching past information (Powerful Witch Hunter)

Request for assistance from DSO Community digging information.

I purchased a "Powerful Witch Hunter Jerkin" from the Gnob but it comes with the worst stat I have ever seen in a witch hunter piece of equipement. I been trying to find the information posted by someone official that stated that the stats on the items would be close to max and therefore priced accordingly.

I would really appreciate any information you can help me with since I am sad and dissapointed with my purchase from Gnob.

oh wow, that is terrible. that thing is actually reducing your average damage.

The best possible values for the powerful witch hunter jerkin are on the wiki. AFAIK you basically roll the stats when you buy the item.

 

I do not recall that any staff would have said that the values are close to max stats however, I do remember it to be said
that the price is adjusted accordingly because the old ones had to be ID with COT's.

 

That is woeful, my condolences.
I can't believe they're still offering only random values for 2700 draken. That's basically 5 events worth or 2-3months of play...
(You'd think you deserve a good item for that?)
And even at near-full stats it's not THAT much better than standard witch chaser, or other gear sets..

 

The only thing I remember on the topic was a post by Greg stating that the developers were debating offering max stats vs variable stats due to how OP the set could be with all max stats, but they didn't want people to feel like they were wasting their drakens.

With that in mind I don't disagree with the idea of random values, however the prices for each piece imho are still too high considering the months it takes to acquire the draken.
Anyways it's just water under the bridge now, considering level 50 is perhaps <6 months away, and the items, for most players, will become obsolete.
