possible to play on linux ?

I use linux 64 bits, and seamonkey browser (based on firefox).
I installed java in linux.
I installed java plugins in seamonkey browser.
But still no success , when I click play, it always takes me to http://werian.drakensang.com/user#internal

browser : SeaMonkey 2.39 based on Firefox 42.0
browser plugin : Java(TM) Plug-in 11.73.2
Path: /usr/jre1.8.0_73/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so

ps : I would like to avoid windows emulators like wine, playonlinux ,etc..

Ok, let me clarify the issue, I think it's a bug :
I want to play from seamonkey (browser) on linux with java plugin, but it doesn't work.

 

Well you problem is with the qt5 they use. It works with Mac and windows. Your not going to play purely in Linux due to the fact all of the key files are on the server and you have to run a viewer. The viewer on the server only runs on the fore mentioned operating systems. The browser will unpack the viewer and run it but there is no viewer for linux.

 

If you want to play switch to Windows OS ... it is simple as that. Linux is not meant to be gaming environment.
There are handful of games that you can play on Linux. With Linux you are almost at your own ... (that doesn't mean Windows is better OS but states the fact that there are no "unified rules" for Linux)
Also Linux holds something like 1% or less of the gaming market ... and the common sense in the gaming industry is that you can't make money making games for Linux simply because the market is not big enough.
Last but not least ... Microsoft "Owns" the hardware manufacturers who are supporting their rules and Direct3D.

 

I am not going to answer to obvious trolls who say windows is the best bla bla bla bla bla...

Technically, this game launches java plugin from the browser, so it should not depend on the os (windows, ios linux, android, etc etc).
For example, I can successfully play EDIT on linux, which also runs from browser and with java plugin.
So yes it should be technically possible to run from linux and I hope they will fix it soon.

 

There is a reason why you can only find info about Windows and OSX in this forum ... but not Linux. Because it was developed only for those two operating systems.
In fact I am sure that you can play that "EDIT'-ed game (whatever it is) only with a similar "process" like the one described above.
I won't bug you with details ... but if you are interested ... you can read about the Operating System/s (including Kernel) here

ok...I did some reading about drakensang online and only the launcher is in java to launch it from browser.
But the game is a windows or apple executable.
Ok so no linux executable...Too bad..then I give up, until they make a linux version.

 

You can play the other game you mention in browser on Linux because the devs made it so you can play it.
This game is not playable under Linux OS (except the way described in the link above) ... and most probably never will.
