    So far no decision has been made regarding character class. I'd like to see a monk/priest or a paladin with some healing support skills, but other people will have other ideas so we'll have to wait and see.


    We are fully concentrated on the content expansion for the moment, so iteration on the moon events will have to wait a little bit longer.


    No decision has been made how Alchemy will work in PvP, but the plan is that F2P can also get a lot out of the new Alchemy system.

    Cynicism is dull and doesn't bring much to the conversation. Look at the direction the game is going with removing CoT and premium Essences from PvP. Our actions will speak louder than your words.

    Hi Wyrwiflaka,

    The quick start mount idea is in the backlog, which means that we haven't forgotten about it but we can only do so much and have to prioritise. We will get around to it though.

    We have some ideas for how we could free up inventory space without completely changing the way it works and hopefully we can tackle this is time for the content update, but no guarentees.

    Combining items is cheaper than the old Crystals of Truth system.

    We are thinking about challenge quests (do x in y time), which might have scaling rewards. We will have too see.

    TGC is a big topic, but right now we are focused on creating content for everyone.

    Guild Battles is just the first of many new guild features - we had to start somewhere!


    No decision has been made, I've just shared my personal preference. If we do go for monk/priest or Paladin character, it's skills will also need to work in 1v1 pvp. Having a character class that is good at support and still decent at 1v1 pvp doesn't have to be contradictory.

    No decision has been made about slots in capes/cloaks, though the topic has come up a few times. To be honest, I don't have a strong opinion about it. We are currently designing a rebalancing of the level curve, but mainly to lower grind in level 40 to 45. I'm not aware that we plan to drop stats due to the content update though.


    I agree, we will have to take inventory space into account.

    Cynicism is the only answer to hypocrisy. In the time of CoT we could have decent gear ... now without it we can't even afford to craft legendary gear.

    Drops are just down to luck. Everyone has the same drop rate, but not everyone has the same luck.


    "Alchemy has nothing to do with secret formulas or something". Please try not to state your opinion as fact. You are just guessing ;)


    Sorry, I don't understand you. Enchantments were improved with CoT removal release.

    It is simple ... you increased the enchantment values but in the same time you decreased the possibility of getting even average enchantments and getting actually desirable enchantment on particular item.
    10-15 damage, 100-130 critical hit on level 45 legendary equipment?
    Critical hit on shield, resistance HP and armor on quiver .... etc?
    I mean ... come on ... :rolleyes:

    Hello Rick and EN forum,

    How about pvp matchmaking improvements ? Thinking about :
    • prevent players to choose multiple pvp matches during subscription phase
    • implement a dedicated pvp server gathering all servers' pvp subscriptions
    • establish 2 or 3 timeframes each day, each lasting 2hours, during which players can subscribe to pvp matches.
    These pvp basics are used successfully in a lot of games, why not DsO ?

    Regarding PvE matchmaking, i feel the new group finder is a nice step in the right direction, keep up the work on improving it like in other popular games.

    How about the tchat improvments ? Thinking about :
    • lot of games allow ~10 sentences storing
    • add "equipement linking": CTRL+left clic on an equipment we own writes a link in tchat allowing other readers to display a tooltip of this item.

    How about inventory regarding mounts/emotes/costumes ?
    Add a dedicated storage NPC in towns would definitely help players.

    Thank you for the feedback. I agree with everything you wrote and we are already working on some of it. It will take time to implement all of these features though.

    I think Trakilaki meant that before the CoT removal, some enchantments didnot exist on shields (for example), thus we could aim more easily for shields with only blockrate+X% and blocked dmg+X%.
    But now with resist crit and other unwanted enchantments, this process became 10x longer.

    I think ... sorry ... I know he knows what am I talking about. But what we do in real life with those conspiracy theorists (as myself)?
    We use the same pattern by pointing our finger at them and laugh. Show contempt, slander anyone who dare questioning our monopoly of truth and burn them on a stake. It works quite well with the masses.
    I mean ... come on ... :rolleyes: ... we all know the Sun is revolving around the Earth ... we all know that we are the only inhabitants of the all universes ... and we all know that there is no such thing as bad drops and bad stats in DSO. :cool:

    Legendary ring +1 +1 +1 +1 damage lvl 6 item

    The process is nearly impossible. With removal of CoT's (which was a great idea btw.) the enchantments we are getting in shields are not what we used to get- it was possible before to have 3x40-60% block rate and 1x40-60% reduction in shield but now it is just impossible.We also get bows with 1000 points of critical hit value instead of having these enchatments in weapon adornments- everything is 'messed up' :) A new player who wants to use Dragon Ache Set finds it hard to make 51% critical hit value without a decent weapon adorment because critical hit value bonuses are very low so the poor player has to lower damage and search for critical hit value in other items.

    On gear enchantments:
    Personally I can't help but notice that also. Especially with unique % enchantments for certain items i.e. attack speed for gloves, run speed for boots. The chance of receiving one of these enchantment lines has reduced significantly.

    I believe that's the main issue people have with a high gold craft-cost. It deters them from crafting, thus they gather gold/GoPs and hopefully wait for a good legend item drop whilst farming. However since the low rate of decent enchantments, and the disincentive to target craft a particular item frequently, most are feeling a negative impact regarding the recent change.

    On the crafting change:
    CoTs were needed to unlock items. Before we simply couldn't use an item unless we had farmed the cots for the Identification.
    Now all our drops are free and ready to use as soon as we see them.
    It's more that they reduced the necessity for crafting with r139, not that they 'exchanged' CoT cost with gold cost. CoTs were a necessity, gold is not.

    People need to adapt to that idea. You can continue melting drops for GoPs without impact on gold, since you don't 'need' to craft, just wait for a good item to drop for you, then you will have the glyphs ready for it.

    the aforementioned issue on gear enchantment quality/rates does need to be addressed :/ Only then the system will work in harmony with all types of players as it more or less was before.

    Yes, because I am of course all-knowing... DSO is a big project and it's not possible for me to know everything. Luckily I don't need to know everything, I just need to listen to you guys, the players, which is what this thread is all about.

    why boss "khalys-mortis-destructor" loose stones of very bad ?.
    only raw or other small stones .... we want good stones to motivate community.

    the unic items bosses "khalys-mortis-destructor" does not fall properly despite a large selection ?.
    3 years game to always find the same thing on mortis. .....nothing or just stupid amulet of mortis.

    impossible to find clovers in the 3 jesters. why no equal chance.

    equilibrate the weight / power ratio between classes.

    I would want to add a note on current discussion about enchantements:
    Yogo and other players seems to take superglyphed lowlevels items as "reference".
    I think this is wrong reference, those superglyphed items werenot meant - in my humble opinion - to be used in game, they r just some giant "discrepancy" of the game mechanics players shunted for their own gain.
    BP removed Grimmagstone to partially stop that trend, so don't expect them to take those superglyphed items as reference for Lv45 stats ...

    On other hand, i understand players want to show those superglyphed stats to Rick because those became a standard in pvp.
    BP "forgot" to limit the upper boundary for glyphing items, alongside Grimagstone removal.
    I meant a lvl8 item shouldnot be upgraded more than 8+6= lvl14 glyphed level, or alternatively not higher than player's level+5.
    Sadly, way too much players invested huge amounts of money into their glyphs that such measure would be really unpopular ...

    @ RickTalrok : to explain more in depth the low level items' stats, a stat like "Damage+X" has a narrow range of numeric values on low level items, compared to the same stat on a Lv45 item.
    As a consequence, it's much more easier to farm for a low level item with maxed stat values then glyph it to Lv47+,
    ... than farm huge amounts of gold on Lv45 legendaries with wider randomness on stat values.
    Even worse: superglyphed-to-Lv45 stats are actually higher than maxed stats on Lv45 legendaries (cf. Yogo's screenshots)

    There may be players who simply bought Glyphs but if you look at the prices in the store and take under cosideration fact that you want to have 100.000.000 -150.000.000 Glyphs on your char I do not think that many players actually did that. Instead I would rather believe that they farmed for 12 or maybe 14 or maybe more months day in and day out to get their glyphs cos' that's what I did and it was hard work . IMHO there was nothing wrong with Grimagstone- everybody could simply go there and farm for low level items and craft them to their heart's desire-one would spend 6-8 hours each and every day on that map going round and round again- this way everybody had a chance to balance their char the way they wanted and that was the beauty of farming and crafting- those times are gone now.

    Well of course thats how its going to be! ... The strong will keep getting stronger. If the current pvp system and general gameplay (i.e. who gets leg and/or uni drops and who doesnt with the same amount of farming) is any indication...... this to will be so unbalanced and unfair as to not even be worth participating in. Like Achievements without rewards.... Completely useless. If there is one trhing I have learned over the last 3 years ... is that BP/DSO Devs can ruin any good idea.

    I think now with the CoT removal ppl get to see the stats of more legendaries than before, and yet they complain about the costs of crafting a legendary item, i think this is not the right thing to do. I mean what do you want free of costs legandaries????
    You complain about the drop rate of legendaries, in my guild i hear ppl get atleast 1/day, I myself got 30 in the last 3 days after a break of 1 week since the last one i found(i dont play more than 2 hours/day). I know i ll probably wont find so many in the next weeks but hey i DID SAW THE STATS ON 30 ITEMS so that was impossible before i barely uncover 1 legendary in 2 weeks. Now if you really want to craft then pay up the price wich i think it s fair enough. Now you can craft and see the stats of atleast 1 legendary/ day. I just wonder if you complain so much how many legendaries did u used to uncover when you had to use CoT????

    I think it s michievious that you are trying to lower the price of crafting as it is, since now you get to uncover more legendaries than before.
    I would like to see some statistics on those players who complain so much about the crafting price, how many legendaries did they used to reveal with CoT and how many are they now?.....ofcourse this is not possible, but my sure bet is that the number of legendaries has increased a lot now.

    BTW docwhisky they did learn form their mistakes they already did on piratestorm where many,many ppl quited basically because they did as they thought its good without consulting with us, i see that they really do take into consideration on what we are saying here.
    And ofr those haters who says that DSO thinks only about money, i want ot ask them Dont you think that it s a natural thing for they to think about earning money???
    They did work a lot to creating this game, and still work a lot at developing, i ts only fair that they make money out of it. If you think they ripoff you on the price of the, lets say, potions then dont buy it farm it.......i know lots of games where if you dont buy an item then you cant get it....this is not the case

    You are COMPLETELY right!
    People complains all the time, that the CoT-system was better, but they haven´t done the math.
    One argument that ->almost<- worked, was "It takes more time to craft an intentional ID, than it did before with CoTs". But that is completely wrong.
    It is way easier to ID legens now, even if you only count the legens you are after.

    If we take myself as an example, I could ID 1 leg every second day. It wasn´t much, even though i would have to farm for at least 4-5 hours those 2 days.
    Now i can craft 2 legens in less than 4 hours.

    And now the problem actually is, that I get 100 gold BEFORE i find 4 EO 2H-swords.

    Although, I don´t ID any more swords now. Either I melt or I save gold for level-expansien.


    I love the CoT-removal. It was one of the best things you ever did for this game. But as Trakilaki and others point out, the chance of getting a good legen is decreased greatly for some items. Before it was hard to get a 2*2 block & blockrate shield, now it is impossible.
    But in return, it seems way easier to get a good 2H now, thanks A LOT for that! But please look into the shield-problem. People deserves a good shield;)
    One other thing...
    You wrote that you would make several difficulties for PW´s. Please make it, so we can actually gain something from it. Some games also have it, but it simply doesn´t pay off to play at the hardest levels.
    Keep up the good work! BP is doing a lot better job now! :)
