    Hi Rick.

    1st, I would like to say thank you for the obviously very active efforts of you and your teams.

    2nd, I have to ask if with the speed of all these recent releases within the last 3 months are effecting the quality of the new releases, as well as the existing game negatively?

    Let me put it this way. If my wife goes to the grocery store daily to buy new groceries, but always picks up more than needed, it often leads to a situation where, after a while, we really don't know what we have on hand, let alone what we need. So she comes home and fills the cupboards to the point where they are stuffed full of items that will likely go bad before it is used.

    I bring up this analogy in regard to these updates, because I've witnessed other software developers perform in the same manner, to their respective software's development (Adobe). Their reasoning is valid in their case for the most part as they are working to shore up their ship, and eliminate exploitable situations. However, it is this rush to application, that many times provide new exploitable or buggy situations.

    When I was a child, my mother would often tell me "you can't invite company in if your own house isn't in order". I've found, for myself, that this "gem" can, and should be applied to many other endeavors.

    While I recognize, indeed even appreciate, what many of these new releases have brought to the game intentionally, I feel that the prioritization is off. Specifically, the new parameters that have been mentioned a few times elsewhere on the subject of loot. For myself, and many others, I'm sure, this is priority #1. Well before the inclusion of new abilities, gui tools or even content.

    The reason for this is that there has been a consistent degradation occuring with various aspects of the loot, and specific issues that impair the "enjoyment" factor of upgrading said loot (i.e., insane GoP cost for % based enchant lines.). As this is such an integral part of the DSO experience, not giving it the effort it requires ahead of other concerns makes little sense to me.

    Thank you again for your efforts, and all those involved. A special thanks for the SM character, of which I've just started playing, it is literally loads of fun (at least when the drops are good!)!!

    Why is andermant drop lowered? I used to get 250-300 ander per run on q3 but now I get 30-60 ander per run. Whats going on?

    When are we gonna get bonus code that was promised to us players?

    In my opinion this game needs 2 new character classes.

    First (many will agree with me) is a new melee class, an alternative for Dragonknight. This class is a must, because one melee class in a game is simply not enough.

    My suggestions:
    - Ninja/Assassin/Shogun type of class
    - Duel-wielder
    - Less tanky than Dragonknight
    - Faster than Dragonknight
    - He would be able to block enemies attacks while dual-wielding
    - Weapons: katana, sabre, rapier, etc

    Second class is an alternative for Spellweaver. Because we have only one mage in this game and it is weak in defence.

    My suggestions:
    - Summoner/Druid/Necromancer type of mage
    - Less offensive than Spellweaver
    - More tanky than Spellweaver (as tanky as Ranger or SM)
    - He would be able to summon different kind of creatures
    - He would be able to cast more defensive spells/buffs

    I guess 6 classes would be ok but of course the more the better ;)

    Another cool idea is a hybrid melee-mage class. Battlemage/Paladin/Templar.
    Something between Spellweaver and Dragonknight. Melee class which is able to cast some offensive area-spells (or defensive buff-spells). I guess this idea was also suggested before but it has my thumb up.

    Is there a chance that DSO will increase the drop rate in the Teleportarium before Level 50? Uniques are non-existent, and the prizes are paltry. Lefrye knows how tough the difficult map is, and there is no normal version.

    To be honest, I've was working on my lowly lvl 39 mage. I stopped cause at that point in lvling it's constant grinding...mind numbing grinding. To the point I wanted a short rope and old raggey chair. I don't wanna even imagine the grind that come from my 45 DK to try to get lvl 50.

    I have one question. Many years ago i did one mage with name balbino(lev1) and i never playd with this acount and forgot my password-email. Now i have new mage (lev 45) ,i playd with this one over 1 year and wish i could change name to balbino . It possible that u remove this lev 1 mage so i can change my name?? Do you guys going to clean this game from people who stop playng many years ago? We need more anvalible name choises:/ Thanx and hope i get a answer :)

    i sure hope defeat the undeafeatables wont be deafet kristoff again. If thats the case you can just drop the event and give us smtg else.

    It was an useless and annoying event. You could do again defend werian or smtg like that....

    Dear friends

    I was just about to write to our Support but before I do that I thought I ask the question here as well. It is an ongoing issue and many DSO veterans are well aware of it - the issue has been mentioned here before but now it's time to directly address it and make sure that game developers work on it...


    Imagine that a DSO Player farms one lovely location in game ( and we all know which one I am writing about) and this player after a few days collects 4 lovely, superb Extraordinary Sunleather Shields here are 2 examples :


    lests continue with our story...

    So our cool DSO player collected 4 of those Extraordinary Sunleather Shields so he wants to craft a Legendary one. Off he goes th Worbench and places 4 Extraordinary Sunleather Shields on it and... he gets crazy bonuses like :

    - 2x Damage
    - 1x armor
    - 1x HP...

    Our cool DSO player repeats the procedure again and again and again and after few months of getting same crappy results he IS NOT a happy bunny anymore. This seems to be some kind of a bug because before it was possible to use 4 Extraordinary Sunleather Shields with bonuses shown on my screen and craft a decent Legendary Shield with nice bonuses just like you can see on my next screen:


    Now I am sure that there are many other players apart from me that have been trying for months to craft a decent shield but simply couldn't... so :

    1) Dear CMGreg‬ - if you're reading this -could you address this issue with Dev's?


    2) Could somebody show it to Rick Talrock and perhaps he can take it to the Dev's Team?


    3) Please anyone out there suggest what is there that we - the players - can do to get our message through to the right departament, perhaps:

    a) contact our SUPPORT en masse ( toghether)?

    b) keep writing in this thred until we get some attention?

    c) visit Gamescom in Berlin next time it's on and meet CMGreg and the Team and talk with them personally?


    Everybody is affected by this issue and everybody is welcome to express their thoughts here so please have your say and let our voices be heard! Let's have thiss issue fixed once and for all.

    Yes, we need enchantment-specific crafting. It's one of the most pertinent issues dragging the game down (in particular the 'craft' system).

    To be honest, i'm against enchantment-specific crafting.

    This led to way too much optimized characters (like the 2 legendaries Yogo shown), this kind of "super-items" should remain extremely rare... MUCH more rarer and harder to obtain than it were before R139.

    Yes this sounds harsh, but noone want all pvp matches full of superoptimized players.

    I agree but it cannot take a year or more to craft a decent shield. I mean I try to craft 3 legendary shields every day. I have no problems with weapons tho'- all crazy Critical dmgx3 and all that have gone- when I assemble 4 extraordinary bows with dmg and %dmg plus speed I nearly always get the right outcome- so it can be done.Same should be done about the shields.

    i remember years ago i found a game where the crafting system only took 2 pieces of gear,and i could keep 1 stat from the gear that was being destroyed and fix it to the gear i was keeping.
    every time i found a better stat i could upgrade it to my gear,omg i played that game just to craft,it was thee best craft system in its time.
    and now i haven't seen anything like it.
    maybe someone here has played it but i forgot the name of it,all i can recall is that u can play a reaper and when u sat=rested ur toon would levitate and heal,ur weapon was a scythe.sorry all i can recall.
    but that craft system would be the best thing in this game,,ppl would play n be happy for hours here with that system.:D:D:D

    And soon, as little as a month, every end game DK would have a 2h sword with +120% weapon damage and +150 damage. I want one of those OP swords, but if everyone has one, then it just becomes the standard. I'm with Masamune56 on this one.

    In the 3 years (+/-) that I've been playing DSO, never, ever, have I knowingly or purposely violated the rules of the game, or any other game I've ever played for that matter! I'm sure that 95% of the players of this game could honestly say the same thing and would agree that a game without rules will quickly become no game at all.

    Then, to read your post threatening the whole community with something called a 'Ban Hammer' causes my skin to crawl!

    Perhaps my skin is to thin and perhaps I'm being overly sensitive but I believe you could show a little more respect for those that make your job possible.

    your not seeing the big picture here.
    1. you still have to find the better stats which could take along time
    2.not everybody would have the same stats.
    3.the overall enjoyment of crafting and playing would be highly better.
    4.and the increased stats are only by +1 or so.depending on what you want to increase(maybe 10 health maybe 2 damage at a time,again depending on what you can find "your luck").
    5. only base can be taken,not % percentage.
    6.if we play long enough everyone will have the same gear anyway,how many ppl have witch set? i do,took me 2 events in a row to get it playing solo,but my leg gear is better lol
    believe me if u have played with that crafting system once,you would love it.and never go back to random crafting again.:D

    Short and to the point, something I've dreamed of for years. I've detailed that opinion in these forums in the past but why bother again? Just wanna say 'right on'!
