Hello, as everybody knows today were implemented the new "item refiners", that can mainly be used with the "Old New dragan set". I know what happens if u use them in a tier 3 item, but what happens if u use it in an item tier 1 or tier 2. Do they become a new tier 3 item (with set effect) ?
Thanks for help, here a pic to explain better:

Did your T3 items got upgraded to T4?
    No?
Well same thing happens with the other tiers ... the items are getting the new bonus and base stats (if available) ...but not changing the tier and level.

I should have taken pictures, but my experience refining a level 50 sparks boot was less satisfactory, as I discussed in the R192 thread. This seems to be a massive improvement for a level 40ish character. Of course, part of that is that the refinement allowed access to the set bonuses. And the 16% increased damage looks nice.

If I got this kind of imprivement with sparks or keens i would have refined everything.

16% dmg on a helm is still poooo. you can get more from a 2/2 blue helm or a 2/3 exo
the only thing that would make this nicer is having a lvl 55 one where you can transfer +39% increased dmg(from a crafted leg helm) to add up to the 6%

    Hey there @Respondona ,

    Thank-you for your question.

It's a simple deal. You are referring to two different options, one of them is not actually in the game.

    1. Item refiner - used to upgrade an old item version (pre-release 185 values) will be converted into post-release 185 values, which means that you will have a new item with random base values and enchantments. Be sure that the item that you want to convert has an option for post-185 release values (e.g. old Dragan set is not the case - it is like in the past. There is no post-185 release values for this set). Result item will be the same level from the item that you refined (e.g. if you refine an unique level 40, the result will be an unique level 40 according to R185 crafting)
    2. Augmental core - still not released, but coming soon. This type of cores is needed when you want to upgrade a certain tier item, following the same crafting rule known. For more information, you can read this thread.

I hope it was clear ;)
    Cheers,

The single line poo, fine, but keep in mind this is level 41 set gear and every stat line has improved relative to the old set gear.

And your 2/2 blue items and 2/3 exo's do not get set bonuses. If this toon gets the other items the toon will also have the +damage, increased weapon damage and travel speed buffs.
