There is part of your problem. These "elite players" you are talking about... how much time do you think that they spend developing alts? I had a friend in game and they often asked me what they could do to be stronger since they had been playing for a couple of years and was no where close to me. I told them that the first thing that they had to do was pick one toon and that toon should get 90%-95% of their time. I have three level 50 alts, but do you want to know how many CoTs they collected? That's right, the answer is "zero." I'll admit, the players who had been playing this game for 3-6 months may not be blowing through an event like this, but they aren't out in the cold either because it is as you described it. So let me make this recommendation to everyone. You want to have at least one alt (for the purpose of leapfrogging your Knowledge Mentor Bonus) and three makes sense (for getting the achievements), but if you ever want to be strong, you need to pick one and that becomes your only toon that you really do significant work with. You can do that, or you can stop complaining when you can't do what someone else can when they are willing to dedicate their time to only one toon.

Meh. thanks for the event i guess it solidified my position that the game is untenable. with the opinion that any exploit or overused bug should not have any repercussions (and please dont start, your opening position was no action) it is telling your player base that anything they do is acceptable, your own TOS becomes a joke. Please Allow back the scripting and just make the game open source or as close to it that it makes no difference for anyone. I was really tied up about the current events and the idea that this was very possibly the worst such incident to date but MEH my wife just got me [EDIT] for the PS4. thanks BP and current DRAKENSANG teams you made my day. Now i have no issues with an account delete and even remembered to stop the recurring membership charges. Peace

The event was ok when my char became lvl 50, from then I could find a group to play. Before lvl 50 I couldn't find a group or everybody just died every 10 seconds. It should be nice if the monsters in the arena also dropped life.

A newbie player described his experience, invited input. I provided an opinion of the viability of the Event, concluding that it's not designed for solo average players such as the original poster or myself. This was not an attack on 'elite players,' but a mild indictment of BP's management of events. I have no problem with you or anybody else who's been around long enough and devoted enough time into their character to be able to efficiently tackle events. I just wish there was an opportunity for the rest of us to enjoy them, as well. Some events do have value for newer players/toons. This one had minimal value to those who aren't already able to efficiently farm PWs (and arguably minimal value to those 'elite players' as well, due to the nature of the rewards as stated here by many of your veteran fellow players).

The new players should be lucky nowadays all events are easy to play. Back in the days when i was starting all events were hard and were single player ... so only strong and P2W players could finish them.
This one was my first completely finished event ... where I have got the Headless Knight costume and Hell Mare mount. Back then the events were not just hard to play but also required a lot of grinding. But compared to today's events they were rewarding. Not everyone could finish an event ... only the most dedicated players could do that. And the event rewards were used to show off ... all items you would get from the events were used to show the player's position within the hierarchy. They were representing the skills and the time you are putting in by playing the game. Now ... everything can be bought from merchants for money ... all events are doable for anyone ... etc. All that feeling is being lost with the changes.

That one was right after I joined and it kicked my butt. I don't think I was at the level cap then, and I was probably using a white sword with 4 slots and random splintered offensive gems....

I didnt complete an event until one of the 2013 sargon events - I think the one that gave pauldrons...

Spinning wheels and stalling until the Twitch session where they will let Greg (most likely in his pink shirt) and Haruki break us the bad news that nothing can be or will be done. They have had ample time to dig up what is needed to ban those exploit users. Instead they will show us some "shiny" new content to bamboozle the masses.

If they do issue a ban the only true way to proceed is to do so with transparency and publish the names of the account holders and character names for all to see here on the forums and FB page. Without publishing these names DSO can say "We banned those users who used the exploit..." thereby leaving the vast majority happy, content and continuing to spend time/money here on a company unwilling to do what is required.

Nothing wrong with a little public shaming.

Wow, you're a little behind the times. Greg is gone. My bet is on something happening tomorrow because of the Sync of R172.

Is there any chance to have an emote of Greg like Dracaty's Cheer? Just or other than saying "Using silver essence". Oh, no dance, please.

    Thanks

What a satisfying conclusion to an initially discouraging reaction! Don't want to let good work go unappreciated -- thanks mods for making us heard, and please pass our appreciation to the DSO team too!

Event wasn t the best, but not the worst (forget about bug already everyone, what happend is past but we can learn from it). I was on vecation during second half of event and i think it was decent due to option to refill essences and other nice rewards.
