"Download critical file" error

Guys little help here? I logged in normally this morning and right after the hotfix I get the "error to download critical file" message. Anybody else has this? I cleared both temps and client but I still get the same...

 

A lot of players have it.
uninstall dso and download the client again.
hopefully it works.
a friend did this 5 times and then it worked again.

 

I'm on 3rd try... ok I might have to do it couple more Thanks

 

Just start the game in the browser ... it will download all files
That is why I never get such errors.

 

I have the same on browser too

 

OK ... turn off the game.
Go to Test Server via browser.
You should be able to get those files there

 

Hmm, I did it TS worked fine but again I had same error on live server Never mind, thanks Traki

 

Go back at TS and stay longer ... go to all maps (those you who are unlocked for you)
Then stay little bit longer in Kingshill and Cardhun (if you can). The game will load most of the files that you need ... from the players active near you.

I have the same problem but I play with the client... (I'm running 64bit browser, can't play through it..)

Except I can't login to the game through the client anymore due a critical error as soon as I log in and starts to load the city I'm in... I uninstalled and re-installed the client, no luck... Any suggestions?

 

Well, this isn't really a spawn of R183, but you're not the first one I hear to be affected recently... check this thread and this one.
Allegedly, some attempts were made at fixing, but if you got the bug now, it seems the fix was not permanent.

What browser are you using?

 

Firefox

 

Firefox is 32bit browser. (unless it shows it is 64bit)
Download 32bit Java version and you will be able to run the game via browser.

EDIT

You can also download portable 32bit Firefox version ... which won't be interfering with your installed version ... use it only to load the files and you can delete it after that.

 

Like I said I use the 64bit Firefox. I'll try the portable 32bit to see if anything changes... (Although like I also said I don't play the game on the browser but I use The thinclient... Thanks anyway

 

You don't have to play the game in browser ... just download the files form TS ... launch the game from browser at live server ... and then delete the portable FF ... use your client instead.

 

I have that issue, too, both on Firefox and IE. Since I start the game from Kongregate I have no other option but start it from a browser. How do I overcome this issue?
I already deleted temp folder DSOClient and Java cache.

 

Go to TS ... crate an account ... and do the instructions described above.
