What does this even mean? How many mods can I add? Does it replace old mods? How does this work? Can I craft onto any unique of any tier? What happens if I mix lvl 55 uniques with lvl 50 legendaries?

 

So i readed the patchnotes and I came across this.

You will still be able to keep all of the gems you have collected, even if some of them have been taken out of the shop and no longer drop in the game. Over time, these gems will be less powerful than the runes that come in the next content expansion and beyond.

This must be a bad joke right? Why would you even nerf royal sapphire from 14% to less then 8% that the runes gives. If we knew this most people wouldn't even have bought any sapphires. Besides getting a 8% attackspeed rune is a lot cheaper then getting a royal sapphire gem. Rather just remove them from every player ingame and give us the anders we spend on those gems back. Just like what happend with CoT in the past.

 

ok so as its the last night of saphires do i buy or not simple question what do you think

 

your gems will be not nerfed ; they say that them will be less powerfull than runes cause them are in tiers : 4% 8% 12% 16% and the 2% speed rune from karabossa event.
so in long terms runes will be more powerfull then royals

 

I think everything is great but it would be better if we could at least get a chance to to convert our sapphires to runes, because when sapphires become useless we can only throw them away.

Sapphires... meh In this or any other game level cap increases makes things obsolete (one of the many reason why I never ask for them ) Granted the sapphs took a lot more to get than than most gear. The ones I have though, even on infrequently played alts with only a few polished, are going to be useful for a very long time. Unless the game starts raining clovers beyond the existing methods I do not see these becoming obsolete any time in the near future. When they do I'll keep them in a gem hold in my locker to look at when I'm feeling nostalgic about the good ole days

The only other feedback I have (while I wait for this content to go live and actually play it with a real toon) is rather pedantic. The new backgrounds on the login and forum pages are way too bright! I much preferred the old dark and dreary. Those much better aligned with the mood of any long time fan of this game

Fine by me... that just means that I'll use those 16% runes and my royals and achieve speeds that newer players can only dream of. Is that "Fair?"

No, it isn't. Because of their lack of creativity, they are forever dooming newer players to be weaker than older, well gemmed, characters.

Other than the discontinuation of sapphires (not so much for my self, but for newer players), the horrid extra imbalance to PvP, and the many bugs I'm sure that this will bring that we will be discovering for the next couple of months, I'm rather positive about this release. Time will tell, but I wouldn't be surprised if the developers realized that they screwed up with sapphires and pissed players off big time.

 

The client background I agree with you but the forums backgroud it's sick and is way better than it was before.

 

I agree... except the ghost genie with a nipple chain. That feels like a little much and it makes me wonder what sort of people they have working in their art department.

 

hahaha.... sapphires plus runes plus 4/4 speed bow = full speed ahead 4.0
use that new gear from infernal to make up the damage, and you're a god at pvp (except for sm, which kinda benefits from this update alot)

Silly question (or not?), but how do we get to Qaizah in the first place? What map "hides" the portal to sandylands?

 

When you craft gems the craft window is blocked by the picture of the gems you just added.If crafting more than 1 gem you will have to wait some time until all gems has been shown before you can close the window.
How can we compare weapons when their is no total dmg/speed shown.Weapon with 1 speed and 1 line 15% says 1 shouldent that be 1.15.
The way gems values are shown in items is really messy compare to the way it was.

 

The magic items trader, Z-something or other, who is located at both Kingshill and the City of Cardhuhn (spelling), will have a new quest for you if you're Level 50 ... accept the quest and a magic carpet / door opens next to him

Did all PW levels just get more difficult? I had recently geared up enough that I could solo Grimmag Painful (lowest level) fairly easily using mainly green essence. Just tried it now and I had to use a lot more blue than usua but still got wiped out by mini-boss in M1, and by fake Grimmag in M2, and made such slow progress on real Grimmag in M3 using purple essence, he killed me and I gave up. Also, real Grimmag in one of his attackes now releases not only a fire monster but simultaneously a dozen or so foot soldiers (that's when real Grimmag got me, while I was dancing around trying to pick off the mobs).

So, not only do we have to grind up in new locations to replace all of our gear, but we're weaker in the old locations, too?

Hiraja - workbench should be right next to Lavendar / the locker (this should be true in all urban areas)

Why are some legacy items listed as Tier 1, others not? Even of the same type (two "improved" Level 50 rings, one is Tier 1, the other is not)

Why are Level 49 legacy items dropping in the Great Desert (or whatever that first "new" map is called)? -- EDIT: I just dropped a Level 48 seal (necklace)

I must say, if you're after melt more than anything, the drop table is decently skewed toward magic & exo in that first map. Andermant and new gem drop rates are good as well. (Please don't punish me for praising something in the game by nerfing the rates .)
