The total percent multiplier is applied on the sum of all discrete armor values of the items, and those discrete armor values already have the "% on this item", gems and enchants applied onto them. So it's the first order.

Here is a bit o news that is sure to shock you. It will be a grind fest.
I agree with Trakilaki. The idea of gear giving -% stats these days is ridiculous and I doubt that they will take the time to rework it. but hey, I could be wrong. I was shocked when they introduced it from a Gnob Sphere.
I am inclined to agree with you on the Dragan set (if you mean Black Warlord), but I'm not so sure about the Belicose/Battle Worn sets and the moon sets. Those are still active events that are returning. To not update them, but run the events again and again and again is monetary suicide. The big events like Dragan are money makers and to not update the items would damage their revenue from those.
To quote one of my favorite movies of all time, "I don't know, I can imagine quite a bit!"
That being said, Guild wars without out significant improvement to the PvP systems of this game and Balance in general would be stupidity on a whole new level, even for BigPoint.
Ah, but math is logic in it's purest form. If it can not be answered with math, it has the ability to be flawed.
I think this is possibly your best single quote ever... I wish I could like it another hundred times. I know that it is a relatively common joke, but to apply it to BigPoint is an act of genius.
Here is my summary of how the various % damage stats work and because % damage is more complicated, you should be able to draw the necessary conclusions on how to apply it to armor:

For any given item, the following is true of Character Damage (damage shown on stats page):

CharacterDamagePerItem=(ItemDamage+GemDamage)*[1+Σ(all "% Increased Damage On This Item" on that item)]*[1+Σ(All "% Increased Damage" from any item/essence/pet)]*[1+Σ(all "% Increased Damage On 2H Weapons" and "% Increased Weapon Damage")]

This equation applies to min damage and max damage separately on items like weapons and weapon decorations, and even applies to base damage (damage with no gear) just ignoring the IDOTI term and the "% Increased Weapon Damage Term" since they don't apply and would equal zero giving a multiplier of 1.
From here, all you need to do is add up the following:

    CharacterPageDamage=Σ(all CharacterDamagePerItem, BaseDamageUpgrade, +DamagePetsUpgraded)

For more on damage, check out my post where I helped Devlinne do some weapon comparisons.

So armor's two equations would look like this:
CharacterArmorPerItem=(Item Armor+GemArmor)*[1+Σ(all "% Increased Armor On This Item" on that item or from runes)]*[1+Σ(All "% Increased Armor" from any item/pet)]

    CharacterPageArmor=Σ(all CharacterArmorPerItem)

Since torsos are the only items that get "% increased armor on this item" lines, they are the only ones that follow that equation. The rest just end up getting multiplied by the total [1+Σ(All "% Increased Armor" from any item/pet)] term before all getting added together. The only other detail to remember when dealing with armor is that it seems that items are maxed at 10000 armor per item, so if you have a super nice torso that the equation says gives you 15000 armor (before the [1+Σ(All "% Increased Armor" from any item/pet)] term) then you will actually only get 10000 of that and you've wasted a lot of resources on it. For more on that topic, check out the thread where we discovered that % armor is actually better in some cases that % armor on this item in this brave, new, post R185 world we live in now.

Nope! Only counts as one. It does however, give you more CHR!

It used to, but it was a bug that only lasted a couple releases. That was the last time that I was using the amulet from the set, lol.

The 'only other detail' seems to have 'vanished' after R187...of course those 700-hundreds will scale back down 5 levels after R188 but still- it seems that it is possible to make more than 10k armour on a torso now.

The rat(s) is(are) from the next sewer event. (Apparently you can transform the simple on into an armored one, but you can't have both at the same time... and if you already add it into the C-bag you can't transform it into an armored one.)
The Troll Squire & Troll Knight were on special offers for real money.
You can get the Gremlin Shield Barrier from Zumpe.
The Armored Lava Hound is from the last PvP quest from Capture the flag.
And the Festive Solstice Troll is from the Winter Wolstice Festival event.

Ι just got the troll squire from the 5xlockpicks chest. And all the mounts and pets with that chest signal at stickerbook can be obtained this way

Hi gurus can you tell me what is the use of the materi manipulation staff that we are supposed to craft an the Hiraya maps? It is just for an achievement or it has and an other purpose?

    Hmmm... That's unexpected.
And that's just for the hidden achievement.

I give up... features that make a certain amount of sense get changed in favor of players while changes that make no sense are pushed through.

Wasn't the max bonus fixed at 50% IDotI? o_O

    That was at level 50.
I have got few over 50% weapon damage lines on longbow as well.
Of course they will increase the Crit Damage and damage ... otherwise the players would use their old crafted items. This way they are trying to get you into crafting and spending resources ... again.
As for the max stats ... we don't know them YET. I see players quit every day just because they are clueless and have no information about anything. Players don't know what to farm and what to do ... they have no goal in the game ... so they are leaving.
I would love to help them and prevent them from leaving the game ... but I can't because I know as much as they know.

Hi guys, here's my question for you: How do i calculate my impact damage? I mean, I have to consider any increased damage % bonus or just my basic damage?

  16. _Baragain_

    _Baragain_ Living Forum Legend

Do you mean the damage from a skill, or damage as displayed on your character page?

  17. Yoshi7789

I mean, what is multiplied for the critical? Is it the damage displayed on my character page?

Yes. If you have 1000 damage and +150% (250%) critical damage, you wil deal 2500 damage with a critical hit (not taking in account the opponents armor/resistance).

Yep, and that is why, after a certian point, a little more crit is often preferable to a little more damage because the little more cirt is multiplies the existing damage.

    Hello.

Would you say the game has improved since a year ago? (I think that's about when they improved Crafting 2.0.) Still worth playing? :p
